Chicago: 8th Overall, 27th Overall, 2019 2nd,2020 2nd

Would this be enough for OEL?

1.) 16 May 2018 07:05:21
I bet you Arizona takes those low picks but also want an established player as well.

2.) 16 May 2018 14:33:40
And Chicago can’t afford to give up all those young pieces for one year of OEL. They need young cheap players coming in. And would have a really hard time keeping OEL past this season unless big money left somewhere, either to Arizona in this deal or elsewhere. And if it’s seabrook leaving, you’re including other young good cheap assets to do it. If it’s kieth, Crawford, Kane or toews leaving then you’re losing some of the intrigue to want to play there in the first place. I think it’s a bad fit all around.

3.) 16 May 2018 15:13:34
Ya i'd think theyd ask for the two first rd picks which are great and maybe a roster player. But Chicago honestly should keep they're draft pick they're already old and Ik Ekman Larson isn't just 26 but still huge age gap between 18 year old player and 26-27 year old players.

4.) 16 May 2018 15:16:06
Chicago should keep those 2 picks and get a good young player in the draft maybe Walstrom or Takchuck if he falls out of the top 5 like he probably will. I see Vancouver getting Ekman Larsob tho because they already have a bunch of good young players and need a star LHD.

5.) 16 May 2018 15:53:04
Arizona needs to start winning hockey games this season. If they trade OEL, they need a decent established player coming back. As somebody else mentioned to which I'll reiterate, Chicago needs young, cheap players not a year of OEL.

Leafs Offseason

William Nylander 6x6 Mil
Miro Aaltonen 2x800k
Andreas Johnsson 2x1 Mil

Martin to Vancouver for 6th
Sign and Trade: Gardiner+ For Trouba

Free Agency:
Mike Green 1x5Mil
(Sign Doughty Next Year)

Grundstrom-Lindholm/ Aaltonen-Leivo

1.) 10 May 2018 10:28:34
Nylander should not be playing Center you will Quickly find out he’s a winger.

2.) 10 May 2018 14:14:21
Why would the Jets want to trade Trouba for Gardiner +? The plus would have to be Reilly, the extra would be a 1st round pick and the Leafs get to keep Gardiner. Not to worry the Jets are going to sign and keep Trouba.

3.) 10 May 2018 16:54:40
Rielly and a first for Trouba?!

4.) 10 May 2018 17:48:52
If that’s what you think is realistic, you have never watched Rielly play. Expand your horizon outside Winnipeg. Rielly was first pairing with ekblad for todd McClellan at the World Cup and after ekblad was hurt, parayko took that spot on his right side, not Trouba. Not saying that means everything and not saying Trouba isn’t good, he is. I’d like him to play on Riellys right side, but if you think he’s better than Rielly that’s fine, I disagree, but it’s not a first rounder difference either way.

5.) 10 May 2018 21:17:46
Well you could make an argument Trouba=Rielly but he’s definitely not better I’ll take Rielly over Trouba + Rielly is signed to a great contract while Trouba is looking for a big raise.

6.) 10 May 2018 23:22:54
Reilly is more complete then Trouba. Maybe you think he has nore value just because he's a RHD and Reilly is a LHD but that reilly does not mean a whole lot. Stop your biased bud.

7.) 10 May 2018 23:22:26
No there is no argument you could make that Rielly=Trouba.
Rielly is a 3LHD. Trouba is a 1RHD.

8.) 11 May 2018 03:11:21
Rielly > Trouba, and frankly it's not all that close.

9.) 11 May 2018 03:13:28
Trouba is the third best RHD on wpg lol how is he a #1? I was respectful of your opinion before, but now you’re just an idiot if you think Rielly is a bottom pair D.

10.) 11 May 2018 05:48:17
I never said Rielly was a bottom pair D. I said he was a #3 D man. You've obviously never watched the Jets if you think Trouba is the 3rd RD on the Jets.

Regardless no matter how often Laffs fans beg for Trouba. they ain't getting him!

Enjoy your constant first round exits!

11.) 11 May 2018 14:30:22
Yah and you enjoy signing a 24 Point dman to a 8 million dollar contract. Trouba a 1D might be the biggest joke I’ve heard.

12.) 11 May 2018 15:30:55
First time in history, with 2 different incarnations of the Jets that your team wins 2 rounds and you can talk down to franchises lol enjoy it while it lasts. Rielly is as good of not better than Trouba. Trouba is more physical, that’s the only thing he can compete with Rielly in. Skating isn’t even close, hockey IQ isn’t close, and Trouba has had guys like buff, enstrom, Myers and even now Morrisey to bail out his mistakes. Rielly has been the guy since the day phaneuf left, with no one to insulate or cover for him. Watch a game. Not just a street party lol.

13.) 11 May 2018 16:38:39
Toronto's first round exit against Boston highlighted the fact that the Leafs only have 3 NHL quality D men, Rielly being the best. However, Reilly completely lacks any actual defensive ability and because of that he should not be playing above a #3 spot. Reilly is no where near the top pairing quality, shutdown D man Trouba is.

14.) 11 May 2018 17:01:22
Lol this shouldn’t even be a debate, Reilly is better than Trouba. There’s literally no argument.

15.) 11 May 2018 19:44:07
Fortunately for all involved, we have advanced stats which all show Trouba as a #1D man and Reilly as a #3. It ends the debate right there.

16.) 11 May 2018 20:46:15
advanced stats show that Trouba is closer to Gardiner than he is Rielly haha.

17.) 11 May 2018 21:02:51
Gardiner actually has better advanced stats lol.

18.) 11 May 2018 21:36:23
The funniest part of all this, other than you guys needing to learn how to read and understand advanced stats is that as useless as Trouba is Leaf fans beg the Jets to trade him there weekly.

I could just see it if it happened though. Trouba would go from the AHL tweener that he is now to being one of the top 5 D men in the league as soon as he set foot in Toronto.

Thanks guys, I enjoyed the talk. How are the Leafs golf games coming along?

19.) 12 May 2018 02:04:35
How's living in a complete dive of a city going?

I've been to Winnipeg before. It's like Buffalo. Except colder. Without good chicken wings. So basically a colder Buffalo without any redeeming qualities.

20.) 12 May 2018 02:56:21
I actually live in Ft. Myers, Florida so needless say a far, far better town than Toronto. There's a reason Toronto is known everywhere as the butthole of the universe.

21.) 12 May 2018 05:22:35
*Insert meme of Michael Jackson eating popcorn.

22.) 12 May 2018 10:40:55
Haha oh man what a troll. Toronto is a world class city. Fort Myers is a hillbilly haven. Enjoy your redneck riviera and keep on bandwagoning for the jets.

10 May 2018 01:27:25

4.) 02 Jan 2018 10:26:35
Lol Chucky is GOAT. MLG.

26 Dec 2017 14:27:47
For fun
What are your thoughts

Letang, Cole, Hagelin, Sprong, Simon, Jarry,2 1sts, 2 3rds

Karlsson @ 50%, Pageau, Hoffman, Condon

E. Kane @50% for 2nd, Aston Reese, Hunwick

Guentzel -Crosby -Hoffman
Kane -Malkin -Hornqvist
Sheary -Pageau-Kessel

Kuhnackl, Corrado

Cap remaining:$1.452

Would this team win 3 straight cups?

Ottawa’s going to rebuild so they get picks and prospects and they can trade Letang, Hagelin and cole for more picks and prospects

In the off-season resign rust, Kane
Replace sheahen and hornqvist with Adam Johnson and Thomas DiPauli

They can be legitimate threats every year till Karlsson hits free agency.

1.) 26 Dec 2017 15:23:55
First off, Ottawas declines immediately and won't ever talk to you. Letang (best player in the package) is very injury prone, the rest are just 3rd/4th liners and cap dumps, for arguably ottawas best players. The draft picks won't change their mind, because they'll probably be late picks anyways. So heck no

2.) 26 Dec 2017 15:24:52
Every year till Karlsson hits free agency is one year. and also I don’t think Ottawa wants a bunch of pieces that they will have to flip to get assets for Karlsson. Trading a guy like him, you need a ton of good assets right then. Why would they risk trading Karlsson, taking back letang at the same money, and then have to shop him (with his injury history) . What if he gets hurt again and they can’t trade him. He makes the same as Karlsson for a lot longer, how does this help an owner that doesn’t wanna spend money?

3.) 27 Dec 2017 19:05:38
I actually agree with Jim here, why would ottawa trade 3 core players for arguably more cap hit let alone eat 50% of karlsson contract and bring back an extremely injury prone and declining bad contract in letang let alone having 2 of their best best players going to pitsburg and not getting top 10 picks in return or dumpin a bad contract like phaneuf in the deal.

Troubadour for M. Rielly
Who adds?
I think it helps both teams.

1.) 23 Sep 2017 13:38:16
the only troubadour i know is the game Yugioh Troubador i played when i was 12, assuming you meant Trouba.

and mike rielly or morgan rielly.

2.) 23 Sep 2017 17:44:10
No from both if it's Trouba for Morgan Reilly. Lateral move at best for both.

3.) 26 Sep 2017 22:00:26
Leafs have 2 solid top 4 LHD and only one RHD. All this does is swap the problem to the other side. They aren't shopping for a good D with their best D lol they have about 12 NHL wingers and 8 spots, that's where they will shop from.

21 Sep 2017 10:51:13
Ryan Murray to Winnipeg for a 2nd and 4th

Who adds?

1.) 22 Sep 2017 00:51:59
Winnipeg for sure.

2.) 22 Sep 2017 03:46:10

20 Sep 2017 23:55:35
T. Sanheim for K. Connor

Who adds?

1.) 22 Sep 2017 00:52:47

2.) 22 Sep 2017 03:46:28
No from Philly imo.

21 Jan 2017 05:46:34
Would u swap any of these goalies 1 for 1
All of them having bad seasons

1.) 21 Jan 2017 10:48:37
Lol wut

2.) 22 Jan 2017 14:41:08
Bernier is having a really good year so why is he their? Domingue and Kuemper are similar value wise, Allen Mzarec too, theirs other match in their too

21 Jan 2017 05:36:08
Smith at 50% for Elliott

Both goalies need a change of scenery

Picks need to be added to make the deal fair
