Similar to the Sergachev - Drouin trade.

MTL : Galchenyuk, 2nd 2017

VAN : Juolevi, 4th 2017

Habs sign Hanzal 3years/ 10.5M
Sign Radulov 4years/ 25M
Send Davidson + 3rd to Vegas to select Pleky

Pacioretty-Drouin-Radulov
Lehkonen-Danault-Gallagher
Byron-Hanzal-Shaw
Martinsen-Hudon-McCarron

Juolevi-Weber
Jerabek-Petry
Juulsen-Benn
Emelin.

1.) 19 Jun 2017 04:32:53
Makes no sense from the Canucks, the picked Joulevi over tkachuk, they need defence.

2.) 19 Jun 2017 04:36:04
Joelevi is not going to be ready to play next season IMO. i'm not that sold on him. I see him as highly touted Finn dman like Janne Ninnama or Joni Pitkanen that jus doesn't pan out. i'd want a lot more than for Chucky. namely an NHL ready Dman.

3.) 19 Jun 2017 05:17:12
In what world tho is Montreal adding more like what, are you insane? And you have him as first pairing hahahahaha man. Clearly fake habs fan.

4.) 19 Jun 2017 05:28:44
No from Montreal juolevi isn't ready and also wasn't as good as sergachev and galchenyuk and a first can get us a top 4D and 2nd line center.

5.) 19 Jun 2017 12:30:21
This is a completely lateral move if you include the drouin trade. Mtl gets slightly better on wing and slightly worse on D, all while giving up higher draft picks.

6.) 20 Jun 2017 00:17:48
0 and 18 lol.

11 Jun 2017 00:28:57
Saw this current proposition on Twitter with over 700 votes so far. What do you guys think?

Montreal : Galchenyuk, Juulsen, Lindgren, 1st (25)

Colorado : Duchene, 1st (4)

Montreality

1.) 11 Jun 2017 04:22:29
I think it's stupid, and definitely proposed by a MTL fan.

2.) 11 Jun 2017 04:30:33
Serg+.

3.) 11 Jun 2017 15:16:31
Value wise, drop COL's 1st and it seems fair. But I doubt COL wants anyone else than Sergachev.

4.) 11 Jun 2017 04:19:03
I'd think Bout it but probably end up saying yes. Not sure if it's what Colorado wants tho.

5.) 13 Jun 2017 00:38:51
Colorado fans are on crack. That trade is more than fair. All this talk it starts with Serg. Duchene is over rated one good season. Not even a strong center. Keep Galchenyuk. He is young and already has a 30 goal season.

09 Jun 2017 05:21:46
Habs : Galchenyuk, Juulsen, 1st (25)

ARZ : D. Strome, Duclair.

Montreality

1.) 09 Jun 2017 07:12:55
Does Montreal actually do that tho.

2.) 09 Jun 2017 11:32:23
I like it. If the Canadians decide to go that route.

3.) 09 Jun 2017 14:06:11
@McJesus Its a risky move but seeing as the LW (paches, lehkonen) and RW (Radu, Gally) are set, if Galchenyuk isn't a Center he's no use to us. i'd take the risk and go after Strome who was 3rd overall after McDavid and Eichel in the strongest draft we've seen in awhile. The Kid's been compared to Getzlaf more than once.

4.) 09 Jun 2017 13:58:20
Haha no thanks. Maybe Chuck alone for these two underporforming players. But no Julsen or a first rounder and especially not the two.

5.) 09 Jun 2017 14:45:22
Strome underperforming? Lol He just got playoff MVP after posting 75 pts in 35 games this season, 34 pts in 22 games in the playoffs. he's got 354 pts in 219 OHL games lmao what else do you want him to do.

6.) 09 Jun 2017 14:55:31
To answer you Montrality - Play in the NHL.

7.) 09 Jun 2017 15:04:04
@GoldenNights

Did you even watch the Memorial Cup dude. To say that Strome under performed is an absolute joke. If anything Galchenyuk to an extent has under performed. A top 3 draft pick and projected #1 center who has been in the league 5 years and has spent a majority of his time at left wing and has never reached 60 points. It is shocking to see a hockey fan with so little knowledge of the sport, I bet you yell touchdown every time a goal is scored.

8.) 09 Jun 2017 15:29:53
Strome is no where near Getzlaf lol idk where you thought of that comparison they play different games. Yes I do think Strome will be good but he's no Getzlaf.

9.) 09 Jun 2017 17:02:32
Check out his Eliteprospect profile, that's where the comparison is from. Also didn't say he was Getzlaf now, but his leadership, size, style of play and position he plays at make his potential up to a Getzlaf level. that's all in saying.

10.) 10 Jun 2017 01:11:54
Okay so most player out of the top 20 that year played full time in the nhl yet. Cokpare to the Marner, Hanifin or even Carlo who got drafted a bit late he is under proving. HE'S NOT a bust no but he looking back he was not the best player available. IN A redraft I'd say he's about # 18 in the draft. SO that isn't underperforming?

11.) 10 Jun 2017 06:07:21
Galchenyuk who has already scored 30 goals in a season in his career, and had scored 19pts in 17 games this past season, including a top defensive prospect and a 1st round pick. for an unproven prospect, and a player who played in the AHL this year.

A solid no from Montreal.

27 Apr 2017 07:16:44
MTL : Galchenyuk, 2nd
Tampa : Drouin

Both 3rd overall picks, one had 53 pts in 73gms the other 44pts in 61gms this season. Both RFA. Both 22 yo.

Habs sign Jerabek
Habs sign Radulov
Habs sign Shipachev
Beaulieu gets picked by Vegas

Pacioretty-Shipachev-Radulov
Drouin-Danault-Gallagher
Lehkonen-Plekanec-Shaw
Martinsen-Ott-McCarron

Sergachev-Weber
Markov-Petry
Jerabek-Benn.

Montreality

1.) 27 Apr 2017 08:32:02
Pretty sure that Drouin will not get traded right now. But this would make the Habs contenders for sure.

2.) 27 Apr 2017 15:04:53
I think this is a good deal for both teams.
Thumbs up!

3.) 27 Apr 2017 15:26:18
Id be ok with it, not sure I can see Tampa doing this.
Also, on your line up, where is Davidson if Beaulieu is taken by Vegas.? Or even Emelin. I can't see Sergachev being a regular next season,

4.) 27 Apr 2017 18:01:53
If Danault is your second line centre then how is this a playoff team?

5.) 27 Apr 2017 18:19:38
Why would Tampa do this? Drouin is better and it doesn't fill a need. If Drouin is traded its for D.

6.) 27 Apr 2017 18:36:32
Well. Danault isn't an ideal 2nd line center , however they did make the playoffs with him as a number 1.
I see him as more a number 3.

7.) 27 Apr 2017 19:21:50
Yeah like why would Tampa do this? And is galchenyuk that bad? Why wouldn't you guys want to keep him lol. I'll be honest I don't watch him or know how he does so please enlighten me.

8.) 27 Apr 2017 19:46:49
MCJESUS. he's got all the talent in the world. but jus doesn't engage himself. Lacks on the defensive side of the game. seems like if things aren't going well in first few shifts he jus gives up on teammates, and tries to dippsy doodle around everyone, which leads to turnovers 95% of the time.
I also think he hasn't been coached properly. they let him be center, he struggles a game or 2. and they put him on the wing. so he probably has low confidence.
I think the pressure of the Habs needing a number one center when he was drafter hurt him. Habs brass mismanaged him. them and the fans put to much pressure on an 18 year old kid at the time. he woulda benefited from more JR and maybe some AHL time.

9.) 27 Apr 2017 20:18:52
Tampa would only trade Drouin for a young elite defender.

10.) 27 Apr 2017 21:03:05
Drouin might get traded but agree that he would only be dealt for elite help on D. This doesn't make Tampa any better doing this trade. And at the end of the day, Montreal will not be a true contender like people say until they have a legit elite centre. So trading a guy that hasn't lived up to his expectations, but is still the closest you have to a #1 centre for a guy that you have coming in playing 2nd line wing makes zero sense as well.

11.) 27 Apr 2017 21:16:32
Honestly my favourite part is the ''both are 3rd overall picks'' gee, thanks! That sure evens things out because they were both taken 3rd overall.

12.) 28 Apr 2017 01:34:27
@tysonbarrie2 I was just pointing out things they have in common and there's a reason why they were taken at that position. I get why you're salty though, going to be awhile before you see your team in the post season, keep up the constructive comments bud its working out for ya.

13.) 28 Apr 2017 05:46:32
@Montreality
You know he is an Oil fan right? Last time I checked Oil are still playing and Habs have started golfing.

14.) 28 Apr 2017 06:29:16
@hotguybabes kinda hard to know when your name
Is tyson barrie. regardless oilers haven't been in the playoff for the last 10 seasons, i would wait a bit longer before you start getting cocky.

15.) 28 Apr 2017 09:24:00
OH I agree with you, first time making the playoffs and round 2 since 2006 and some Oil fans (none from this site tho) are already talking dynasty lol.

16.) 28 Apr 2017 13:46:55
The Oilers are going to be a force now for years to come but listening to Fair Trade4all is sickening. He tops pinball and Montrealsfinest.

17.) 28 Apr 2017 16:59:28
sorry, but nobody tops MontrealsFinest. By far in a league of his own at the top of the delusion chart.
FairFrade4All is a very very close second tho, I would absolutely agree to that as a fellow Oilers fan. Lol
Call him EdmontonsFinest for all I care. Lol.

18.) 29 Apr 2017 00:45:58
You might be right yup. The problem with EdmontonsFinest is I think he does have some hockey knowledge in there somewhere. He just under values every leaf player because of hate and over values every Oiler. When he posts something that doesn't involve those 2 teams, he sometimes makes sense. MontrealsFinest is just off his rocker, but very entertaining.

19.) 29 Apr 2017 03:10:48
Stole my idea.

29 Jan 2017 02:35:29
MTL : Beaulieu, Juulsen, McCarron, Desharnais, 1st

Avs : Duchene

Desharnais' contract ends after this season so he's just a cap dumb, could sit for the rest of the season and it wouldn't change

Montreality

1.) 29 Jan 2017 10:48:25
Not saying Beaulieu, Juulsen, McCarron and a 1st are crap I just think Duchene could get better quality. Sergachev is probably a must.

2.) 29 Jan 2017 14:49:36
I wouldn't do this from mtl. I like Dushene but if we're going to give up a top 4 D, a propesct top 4 D Micarron and a first I rather just wait till those pieces develop. I like Mcaron and think he is going to be a big third line center for years to come.

3.) 29 Jan 2017 17:24:13
I agree with McJhabs.

4.) 30 Jan 2017 19:24:44
Colorado Avs are asking way too much for Duchesne. It will be tough for anyone make a fair trade.

5.) 31 Jan 2017 04:16:41
Juulsen, DD, 'Ghetto and a 1st should be enough, otherwise Habs pass, Duchene isn't an elite player

Any bold predictions for the upcoming season?

Fire away.

Montreality

1.) 08 Sep 2016 10:20:05
-Leafs make the playoffs as the 8th seed and have an amazing post season run and win the cup.
-Price gets injured in the pre season and only plays 10 games and the Habs miss the Playoffs, Radulov leaves for the KHL.
-Canucks get off to a great start and trade for Rick Nash giving up a package of their 1st rounder and Jake Virtanen. Canucks start sucking and end up at the bottem of the Pacific and miss the playoffs. The Rangers then draft in the top 5 of the 2017 draft.
- McDavid scores 164 Points in 82 games, only to come up 3 points shy of Sidney Crosby for the Art Ross.
-Oilers miss the playoffs and draft Nolan Patrick 1st OA.

2.) 08 Sep 2016 10:56:13
Bad attempt at trying to be funny man, I usually expect better from you BJ man.

3.) 08 Sep 2016 12:25:52
I don't know I thought bj was alright.

4.) 08 Sep 2016 12:29:42
But I think lundqvist will have a really down year and the Rangers will miss the playoffs. That's my bold prediction.

5.) 08 Sep 2016 13:55:43
Rangers, Lundqvist struggles to find game. A. V. is the first coach to get fired. Rangers miss playoffs.

L. A. misses the playoffs as well. Sutter gets fired at seasons end.

6.) 08 Sep 2016 18:55:26
K99 Predictions 16/ 17

Leafs DO NOT make the playoffs and finish at #26 increasing their magic number to 50 and counting. Leafs Brass learns that Marner, Nylander are not ready to play against the men and will require 4 years in the league to be effective against the men in the NHL.

Nylander's 2nd concussion of the season shuts him down till 2017/ 18 season. Seeing the young guns struggle, Leafs brass sells off Bozak, Kadri, JVR at the trade deadline so as to initiate tank 3.0 . Leafs plunge at the end of the season as their vets are all gone / have papercuts and taken out of the lineup, but fail to finish last as Van has beaten them to the punch this year.
Reilly struggles as a #1 Dman playing against the leagues best with a minus rating overall, but shows positive offensive capabilities near the end of the season. Leaf fans whine for years that they deserved to win the lotto again this year. Columbus wins #1 pick, Van #2, Carolina #3.

Vancouver comes out of the gate strong as the aged core is fresh and the system is easily ahered to by the aged core that has mastered the system against the teams learning new systems. Van fans plan cup parade. Van's slump when the old guys run out of gas and start getting those nagging injuries starts earlier plummeting them in the standings to #30 by season's end. Van fans now ALL are irate as Tkachuk scores hat tricks against them game in and game out and the massive Joulevi mistake becomes apparent. Gudbranson wants out of the 30th place team and does not re-sign. Van brass still will not admit a full out rebuild is requried enraging the fan base.

Calgary finishes in 6th place in the division but fan base is happy knowing they only need 3 more top 6 forwards to move up the standing as Tkachuk adds scoring punch on a line of Little J and Mono. Tkachuk lights up the Canucks each game he plays against them. The 30th ranked over rated D moves up a few knotches to about #25 this year. Dudgie underperforms again this year and serious consideration is given to buy out. Calgary fans whine and complain that the Oilers got 4 1st overalls on a daily basis.

Oilers make the playoffs much to the dismay of the haters. McD Eberle finish top 10 in scoring and Yak breaks the 30 goal barrier. Edmonton's team D moves up and the whining from the nay sayers and media about no Defence in Edm is quashed as Larsson proves to be a good #1 shutdown D-man and Reinhart makes good progress showing he can be an effective shutdown guy.

Montreal flirts with the playoffs, but ends up just 2 pts short as goal scoring from the team continues to be a problem. Radulov experiment doesn't entirely succeed, but his adequate play nets him a 2 year extension for considerably less $$. Serganchov's name comes into play for Rookie of the year as Markov shows the kid the tricks of the trade and everyone finds out he was indeed the undisputed #1 Dman in the draft. Subban WILL NOT score a hat trick against the habs but will finish ahead of Webber in points. Webber wins Norris in spite of Subban having more points. Montreal sweeps the Leafs in regular season play.

Winnipeg makes the playoffs and gets to round 2. Winnipeg makes a splash at the trade deadline picking up a critical piece to take them into the 2nd round. Trouba plucked from the team in the LV draft hurts but depth from within is adequate to offset the Trouba loss.

Ottawa.
Makes the playoffs as they beat out Montreal by 2 pts. Unfortunately they fall in the first round. Bobby Ryan has a better year, but is still underperforming for the value of his contract. A pleasant surprise of Perron making the team from JR's and being an integral part of the Ottawa scoring attack is well recieved in Ottawa. Karlson loses Norris to Webber. Ottawa sweeps Toronto in regular season play.

7.) 08 Sep 2016 19:20:51
BJ Vancouver starts sucking? They already suck.

8.) 08 Sep 2016 19:21:14
here is my prediction

-Shankar actually post a trade and decides to give positive feedback to other posters on this forum.

I know its bold.

9.) 08 Sep 2016 20:22:51
RNH wins selke
Klefbom win norris
McDavid come 4 points shy of Gretzkys record.

10.) 08 Sep 2016 20:41:06
@Yup
Sorry man, who pee'd in your fruit loops this morning?

11.) 09 Sep 2016 03:39:48
Haha. I just thought it was kinda lame at the time. I might have peed in my own fruit loops yesterday. I was still hungover from Sunday. My bad man.

12.) 09 Sep 2016 15:43:45
Here is my prediction:

Tankie does not learn how to communicate effectively in english, still remains as biased as ever, and continues to provide an exceptional source of general humour.

Not so bold, i guess.

13.) 10 Sep 2016 03:06:28
@Yup
Lol no hard feelings man.

09 Aug 2016 23:24:57

Shaw-McCarron-Andrighetto
Carr-Danault-Mitchell
Byron

Beaulieu-Weber
Markov-Petry
Emelin-Barberio
Pateryn

Price
Montoya

-Scherbak, Sergachev, Reway all play one more year in the AHL/ OHL

-Desharnais, Matteau, Flynn, Condon sent down through waivers.

Montreality

1.) 09 Aug 2016 23:35:37
Looks likw they will be a solid contender for the draft lottery.

2.) 10 Aug 2016 00:26:58
I'd be very surprised if both Lehkonen and Ghetto are top 9 forwards next season. Let's just all pray for your sake Price stays healthy or else it'll be lottery draft for you guys,

3.) 10 Aug 2016 15:30:04
I like the look of that line up tbh the D needs to be better but if I was MTL that'd be my opening night roster as of now.

4.) 10 Aug 2016 16:02:20
Desjarnais won't be gone. he'll be a 3rd liner and a PP guy.

5.) 10 Aug 2016 16:33:40
Brutal line up lol.

04 Jul 2016 00:21:15
Avs : Duchene
MTL : Beaulieu, Plekanec, Andrighetto, 2nd 2017

Colorado gets a great 2nd/ 3rd line Center whos responsible at both ends of the ice and can score between 50-60 pts, they also get help on the blueline with Beaulieu and a good NHL ready prospect in Ghetto.
MTL gets their 2nd line center who can also play 1C, give the russian line a chance

Paches-Duchene-Gallagher
Scherbak-Galchenyuk-Radulov
Carr-McCarron-Shaw
Byron-Mitchell-Danault

Markov-Weber
Barberio-Petry
Emelin-Pateryn.

Montreality

1.) 04 Jul 2016 03:11:20
Not even close! Duchene is not a 2C that can just maybe play first line. He played on the Canadian Olympic team man.

2.) 04 Jul 2016 04:55:40
Dan Hamuis played on the Olympic team. That dosent make him a super star but yeah big no from Colorado.

3.) 04 Jul 2016 05:06:07
Lol what^.

4.) 04 Jul 2016 05:25:51
Lol duchenne is elite if Roy was smart he would trade him for maybe an elite player like subban?

5.) 04 Jul 2016 06:08:28
Lol. Delusional.

6.) 04 Jul 2016 17:30:00

It what world is Kane the solution for anything, goes completly against the Habs values.

Montreality

25 Jun 2016 14:25:30
Overall a really good night for the Habs. Basically traded Eller for Shaw, who is younger, grittier and 2 time cup winner at a likely similar cap hit. Arguably drafted the best defenseman in the 2016 draft, some mock drafts had him going 6-7. He'll probably play one more year in the OHL since Windsor is hosting the memorial cup and he'll be ready to take Markov's spot next season when he becomes UFA. Now if i'm Bergevin i turn to Free Agency to go get that top 6 forward.

Montreality

1.) 25 Jun 2016 14:46:37
All the things aren't bad by no means but you didn't address your biggest need! Offense.

2.) 25 Jun 2016 15:20:27
Haha bud. Can't give credit where credit due.
This was a win draft for Montreal. Quietly too.
Shaw and Sergachev good fits.

3.) 25 Jun 2016 15:38:29
Oh. And. Mathews will ask for a trade! Toronto will ruin him like everyone else!
