Finally a team with a worse collapse than the Leafs versus the Bruins. The leafs blew a 3 goal lead in 11 minutes to lose in OT and people are still talking about it. No offense oiler fans but we've held that record for a while. I do think the Oilers will come back. They got outplayed and out muscled in the first, came back strong and I thought were the better team in OT.

Maybe next year

1.) 06 May 2017 16:30:09
If the Oilers can recover, the leafs collapse would still be worse.

2.) 06 May 2017 17:16:41
Ill agree it was a collapse to a point. I don't understand how in the hell that goal counted. Kessler was yanking at his pads . you could visibly see his hand in the top of his pad, and moving it . I jus don't know what goalie interference is. I can't believe how robbbed the Oilers have been the past couple of games.

3.) 06 May 2017 17:24:04
@Sosa.

At the same time, whether Keslerr was yanking at his pads or not, you just CANNOT let two goals in and make a game close with 3 mins left.

but yeah, who knows what goalie interferencd is anymore. inconsistent af.

4.) 06 May 2017 17:32:30
TSS. I agree it was a collapse., and your right, yavcant do that. but when you have a player tugging on your pad. and they score the tying goal that way in the most important game of the year to date, I don't think its fair at all. I think Anahiem did a great job coming back, IMO they are the overall stronger team, however I don't believe they deserved to win last night based soley on that goal. the Dirty Kessler. that's what this goal and mkve should be called lol. yes. he's on my top 5 hated guys lol. Even before the goal.

5.) 06 May 2017 19:03:53
LOL. A game 7 Vs a game 5 🤔🤔🤔.
Not even comparable. Not even close. Wow. Say what ever you need to fall asleep at night.
That was easily one of the worst blown calls I've ever seen. I thought game 4 goalie interference and offside was bad. Keslers glove literally inside Talbots pad is the single worst blown call I've ever seen.
Yea, nurse pushed him in, if his gloves wasn't in the pad I would say no goal %100 nurses fault. But, Kesler made zero effort to move and just left his glove in the pad for a solid 5 second. Absolutely unbelievable.
Not even close to the same thing as the most epic collapse of all time in an ELIMINATION GAME! What a joke.

6.) 06 May 2017 20:36:59
Their ya go the whining continues. Part 2.Hope you stacked up on that Rexall special Yup.

7.) 06 May 2017 20:43:07
Yup, come on man. The Oiler game made the series 3-2, and pushes them to the brink.

To say its 'not even close' is a joke on your part. that's 3 goals in 3 minutes. Come on man, yeah maybe the Leaf collapse is worse, but to say its 'not even close' in comparasion is a bit ridiculouz.

8.) 06 May 2017 20:48:36
Keep whining yup. 3 goals in 3 minutes. I slept great, how about you? There are blown calls in every game.

9.) 07 May 2017 02:36:29
Yup is like a old ford motor. Dosn't stop making noise even when the car is off. The game is over get over it. Go get some groceries and enjoy the next game that could be the last with somme good munchies and cheap whine.

10.) 07 May 2017 16:04:40
Lol. Trying to compare the two games is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Even Chiarelli was asked about the two because he was with Boston then. He looked at the guy, paused, kinda chuckled and said well first off that was a game 7 so they aren't even close to the same. Leaf fans tryin to justify their collapse, it's known as one of the worst I recent memory.

That tying goal the other day, If anyone thinks that Keslers glove literally inside Talbots pad is not goalie interference I have no words. Just unreal. Lol.
Easily top 3 worst blown calls I've ever seen in my life. If it happened to any other team I would think the same. The NHL won't even mention the glove because they know they messed up and won't admit it. They put out statement about every other close call to clear things up, Didn't mention the glove in this ones statement which is the thing everyone is talking about. They know they messed up and missed it. Won't even acknowledge it.

Still happy with my team this playoffs for sure. They are doing exactly what I had hoped for win or lose this series.

11.) 07 May 2017 16:06:40
And Golden nights. I've it up man, My complain post the other day literally started with "I never complain about the refs, but". So ya, I haven't been the only one in the hockey world, oilers fan or not, These last two games complaining about botched calls. No one in the league knows what goalie interference is right now. Lol.

12.) 07 May 2017 21:25:58
TSN and Yahoo have a video up of EPIC COLLAPSES yup, you should watch it. Chiarelli was also on the winning side of that one against Toronto, of course this doesn't compare. If the Oilers lose this series, that would be an EPIC turn of events in 3 minutes. The video also has the Boston collapse against philly. Up 3-0 in the series and 3-0 in game 4. Lose the game and series. Interesting fact you like so much, Lucic in all 3 collapses.

You should be happy with the team, win or lose. Nobody said they aren't playing great hockey, no need to be the defender of all. Typing LOL with every post and saying " the funniest things I've ever heard", does not fool anyone. You're quickly becoming the biggest homer on this site.

Good effort by the leafs. I said a month ago I didn't think they were going to make the playoffs and I would've been happy to see 4 playoff games if they did. They showed that they can hang with the top teams this past month and especially this series. The future looks good. Let's go Oilers!

Maybe next year

1.) 24 Apr 2017 18:24:30
If someone would've told me the leafs would push Caps to game 6, 5 OTs and all 1 goal games, I would've laughed at you. Great showing for the leafs, sounds weird saying it but a 1st round exit against Washington isn't a bad way to lose for a team supposedly just starting the rebuild. Better then Pulling a Montreal, win the division, 1st round exit and still pick mid 20s.

2.) 24 Apr 2017 18:33:59
Classic example of the young guys having nothing to lose and no pressure just going out there and playing hockey.
Washington had all the pressure and eyes on them and Toronto was able to capitalize on a little of that.
Great showing by the Leafs, Build on that experience now. Valuable for a young team like that, Something the younger Oilers a few years ago weren't able to ever get. Good work.

3.) 24 Apr 2017 18:53:38
Ya jus had to go there HGB. lol. make it sting even more.

4.) 24 Apr 2017 22:02:37
Lol sorry Sosa, if it makes you feel any better, your Habs are in better shape then my Nucks right now haha.

5.) 25 Apr 2017 00:37:31
Lol. Well i'm a BC boy, . so I feel your pain buddy. Lol.

Leave it to the leafs to make us sweat it out. They got badly out played tonight. They can't win them all and they've had a hell of a stretch as of late, but that was a poor effort with your season on the line. Reilly makes some nice defensive plays but he's not what I thought he would be. My daughter has a harder shot, he reminds me of Kaberle. How do they go about getting a #1-2 defenseman without giving up Mathews, Marner or Nylander? Is it possible?

Maybe next year

1.) 07 Apr 2017 06:43:55
If Lightning win tmrw and Leafs lose Saturday, Toronto is gunna go crazy. 2 tough games for TOR coming up aswell. Anyways, if I'm Benning I'd try to deal the leafs one of Tanev, Gudrbanson, or Edler (doubt it)

2.) 07 Apr 2017 06:55:15
Rielly had a bad game relax

- Oiler fan.

3.) 07 Apr 2017 07:24:03
In my eyes there is only one way you get a top pairing defenseman without giving up one of the three and it involves losing your next 4-5 1st round picks to a rebuilder. So short answer no.

4.) 07 Apr 2017 07:44:26
You relax Barrie, the whole team had a bad game. It's my opinion on him as a defenseman. Do you really think I judge players on one game? I think he's pretty good defensively and has decent offensive skills but not a #1 d man by any means. Tomas Kaberle wasn't bad either if you know who he is. Just not what I was hoping for when he was drafted so high.

- Leaf fan.

5.) 07 Apr 2017 08:56:40
That's kind of what I thought Xcing but I don't know a lot about some of the younger ones in their system. Maybe a couple prospects and a 1st?

6.) 07 Apr 2017 13:22:53
The only way to get a #1 defenseman is to draft one. If you want to aquire one through trade, you will have to overpay.

7.) 07 Apr 2017 15:49:57
Whatever happens to the Leafs, Relax. this is waaaaay ahead of where they thought they were going to be. This team is going to be a force. They can address some needs in the off season. But the future is bright. and makes me jealous as a Habs fan. Personally think they get in. and they are a team that could surprise someone. I wouldn't wanna face them in the playoffs.

8.) 07 Apr 2017 19:33:11
@Maybe next year, I just think that for a star you would have to trade a star not stack medium to low end value in a package. There are almost no top pairing d men on the market so an overpay would probably be necessary. Drafting is probably the best option.

9.) 07 Apr 2017 23:59:20
I mean I'll let the Kings trade u Muzzin if u send us Nylander.

10.) 08 Apr 2017 01:00:51
I guess the leafs should just wait and hope a couple defenseman develop. I really like Zaitsev and Gardiner has become much better under Babcock. I do like Reilly but he lacks a shot and physicality, just not a #1 like I think leaf fans were hoping. Nylander has really surprised me and Kadri has seem to have found another level. Sosa, I think we all know they are way ahead of expectations. I was simply referring to the fact that almost every time the leafs have made the playoffs in my life time, it's a nail biter.

11.) 11 Apr 2017 12:47:58
Lol Kings Lover really? Muzzin? Ahah he literly sucks. Dougty is the only reason why people think he's good. If it wasn't of him he'd still be in the Ahl. YOU want Nylander for him? Ahah.

VB, you're just as much of a homer as the Russian tank and FairTrade. I get it, Marner is as good as Patrick Kane, Parayko is the top d in the league, and every player on the Oilers is untouchable. FairTrade, just wondering your issues with Nylander? Not the first time I've heard you say he's concussion prone. He had a great first season. I believe the future selke winner (RNH) also had a previous concussion. Does that not matter when you play for the mighty Oilers? I think that Crosby guy has had a decent career too, even after suffering multiple concussions.
