Sounds strange, but I am hearing Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers are in trade talks right now. Very interesting especially with Florida going to be in Colorado tomorrow and Monday at the trade deadline.

The rumor I am hearing is Colorado is going all in for a playoff push. Colorado might get Mike Hoffman, Mark Pysyk and James Reimer. Florida is predicted to get Tyson Jost, Nikita Zadorov and Phillipp Grubauer.

Draft picks might be in the mix as well. Unknown for sure. But Joe Sakic and Dale Tallon are expected to meet tomorrow in Denver. Going to be juicy.

You have no idea man.

2.) 23 Feb 2019 23:04:17
I read Hoffman and brassard are sitting out so getting close but that guy said it was with nyip.

3.) 24 Feb 2019 20:36:49
Hoffman is the best player here. Does that mean Colorado wins? I don’t think Colorado is giving up on Jost quite yet, though Zadorov is on the block.

I am hearing Mike Hoffman is about to be to traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets along with Derrick Brassard, Aleksi Heponiemi, James Reimer and a 2019 1st round pick for Sergei Bobrovsky and Alexander Wennberg.

Very shocking Artemi Panarin is not part of the deal. I am hearing Florida is in on the Bobrovsky and Wennberg package instead now.

Do you have a source on this one?

2.) 23 Feb 2019 18:47:22
Would be crazy.

3.) 23 Feb 2019 18:49:54
Oh please be true lol massive downgrade on goaltending for Columbus with wenberg Hoffman cancelling each other out and Brassard sucks lol this will be a win for Ottawa in my view lol.

Reimer won't steal games like Bobrovsky can for Columbus making the pick and conditional pick from Duchene deal that much better while Bobrovsky helps Florida steal a few and move up the rankings.

Please make this happen lol.

4.) 23 Feb 2019 19:58:05
'Hoffman cancelling out Wennberg' 'Brassard sucks'

When they were on Ottawa, they were worth Brayden Point and Mikhail Sergachev tho?

5.) 23 Feb 2019 21:52:28
That would be a gross overpayment.

Trade proposal that might still be in talks with Columbus Blue Jackets and Florida Panthers

Columbus gets Forward Mike Hoffman, Forward Derrick Brassard, Goalie James Reimer, and 2019 2nd round draft pick (acquired by Pittsburgh)

Florida gets Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky

Columbus would get a top goal scorer in Mike Hoffman to help them in the playoffs as well as Derrick Brassard in the 3rd of 4th line. 2nd rounder added to take James Reimer.

I like it, florida gets some time with bob to possibly sign extension or at least negotiate and he gets a trial till end of season to see if he likes it type thing.
columbus gets some pieces to help them compete in playoffs. i'd imagine this would be around the right package for bob.
Only concern i'd have is does columbus have cap space for this deal?

2.) 18 Feb 2019 04:15:55
That’s a lot coming from Florida, so iffy on that one. Don’t think they are that desperate to get just Bob but oh yes from Columbus.

3.) 18 Feb 2019 07:02:42
Don’t see how this even close and I don’t understand the Bobrovsky and Panarin trades to Florida. Why would they trade a 60 point player with term left for a UFA goalie when there 10 points out of a playoff spot?

4.) 18 Feb 2019 16:30:06
Between Panarin and Bobrovsky I think Bob’s is the one Columbus really wants to keep.

Trade needs to happen now! Please already.

Edmonton gets Forward Frank Vatrano, Forward Maxim Mamin and Goalie James Reimer

Florida gets Forward Jesse Puljujarvi, and Goalie Cam Talbot

Basically Edmonton gets two wingers to add to their roster and eats Reimer's contract in doing so. Florida gets new starting goalie in Cam Talbot and Jesse Puljujarvi gets a fresh start with a new team in the 3rd line.

Oilers won't take on any more cap. only good thing about trading Talbot is to get rid of that salary not take on longer rubbish contract.

2.) 29 Jan 2019 19:05:01
what a brutal post for oilers. wow.

3.) 29 Jan 2019 20:56:33
Ugly for Oilers.

Just a what if scenario between Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers, let me know what you guys think.

Now with Colorado in the playoff hunt and the big push, and Florida is basically day dreaming of a spot at this point, I think both teams should make a big trade.

Colorado gets Forward Henrik Borgstrom (former Denver Pioneer by the way), forward Nick Bjugstad, defenseman Mark Pysyk and Goalie James Reimer

Florida gets Goalie Phillip Grubauer (which is no longer even a proven backup and will not replace Semyon Varlamov at this point)

with defenseman Nikita Zadorov and a 3rd round draft pick 2019.

So Colorado gets Borgstrom, Bjugstad, Reimer, Pysyk

Florida gets Grubauer, Zadorov, and a 3rd round draft pick

Thoughts?

2.) 26 Jan 2019 05:54:24
In all honesty florida doesn't even consider grubauer zadorov and a 3rd for just borgstrom.

3.) 26 Jan 2019 14:57:17
Agreed with Habby.

I am hearing after last night with the Avalanche loss, Varlamov is on tje trading block and Joe Sakic could be eyeing either Keith Kinkaid of the New Jersey Devils or Petr Mrazek from Carolina Hurricanes to save the goaltender crisis in Colorado. Avs now out of the wildcard. Sakic is in panic mode. I expect a trade is inbound this week or the next.

I agree the avs could use a shake up but are either of those guys really an upgrade.

With Talbot and Reimer trade value basically cancelling each other out, the real question to this deal would be, is Oscar Klefbom (who is still injured by the way) worth being traded for Nick Bjugstad and Mark Pysyk? Would it help Edmonton right away with two ready players on the lines compared to one injured player on IR?

Reimer never played as an Edmonton Oiler. So not sure what you mean about coming back? He was only in Toronto, San Jose and Florida. Secondly, at this point Reimer and Talbot's trade values are pretty much equal because they are both equally mediocre this season and are unwanted in most of the league's teams. But, Reimer is accepting as a backup goalie role for Mikko Koskinen. Talbot is not. I think that's the difference maker why Edmonton wants Reimer. Proven backup for Koskinen. Talbot wants to be the number one goalie.

David Pagnotta: "Have been told that the Oilers had recently offer goaltender Cam Talbot to an Eastern Conference non-playoff team. They had previously spoken with that team about a larger deal that had involved Talbot. He has a 10-team no trade list and it appears that this team may be on his list. "
