Flames trade
Sam Bennett

To

Buffalo for
Jeff Skinner 50% retained.

Kobalis

1.) 23 Feb 2021 08:36:35
Doesn’t work cap wise

2.) 23 Feb 2021 13:15:55
Yeah, plus Calgary doesn't need another LW, they need a right shot RW.

14 Feb 2019 23:26:34
Edmonton won't trade with the flames, but the flames have intrest in talbot

EDM
Talbot

Phi
4th

CGY
3rd

PHI
Talbot.

Kobalis

1.) 15 Feb 2019 01:32:13
If the Flames offer a better pick I’m sure the Oil would gladly trade with them.

2.) 15 Feb 2019 03:52:54
I don’t think Edmonton gives a rubbish where Talbot goes lol he has to accept the trade tho.

08 Feb 2019 22:56:22
CGY
Bennet
Kylington
3rd

BUF
Reinhart.

Kobalis

1.) 09 Feb 2019 00:17:27
I'm a big Reinhart fan. however, I think Flames should hang onto Bennet, he has really found a role on the Flames, and who knew the kid that couldn't do a pull up/ chin up. whatever it was, would be so gritty.

2.) 09 Feb 2019 00:32:51
BUF says no, but it’s not as far off as some may think. Reinhart has the edge in goals and points totals, but Bennett plays a better overall game: his defensive play is superior to Reinhart and he likes to hit a lot more. If either the pick or prospect was of better quality, Buffalo might consider.

3.) 09 Feb 2019 01:17:04
No from Buffalo easily.

4.) 09 Feb 2019 09:45:19
Would have had it be a second if the flames owned their 2nd, reasoning for the Sabres doing it is Reinhart threw his goalies under the bus and then tried to save it by throwing the whole team under.

How calgary can afford matt duchene and march to the cup

CGY
Stone
Kylington
3rd

Det (or another bottom feeder team with cap space)
5th

Cgy
Frolik
Jankowski
1st

Ott
Duchene

Calgary has 13.38M Cap Space next year + bettman beleives cap will rise 3.5M So 16.88M, Frolik and Stone and jank out save 9.5M so a cap space of 26.43M

TK 8yrs for 8 mil
Duchene 7 for 8 mil
leaves you 10 mil to extend rittich and bennet and whoever else we need aka backup goalie.

Kobalis

1.) 25 Jan 2019 03:27:59
Calgary doesn't need him, this team needs a goalie. that's it. . I'm not a huge fan of these trade deadline swing for the fences homeruns. when has a star of Duchene made a difference.? I see strong contenders like Calgary making small tweaks. when your as good as Tampa, Calgary, Nashville. maybe Caps and Jets.
Ya take the team ya have. cause they are damn good. maybe a small adjustment. but nothing major.

2.) 25 Jan 2019 04:29:00
These are both dumb and not going to work lol no way would these teams accept either of those.

3.) 25 Jan 2019 05:05:11
I'm hoping calgary holds onto the first round pick this year.

The team is good, with backlund as 2nd line center. Could try for bob from clb or maybe Varlamov from col, but I doubt those 2are available.

4.) 25 Jan 2019 22:13:52
I disagree with you guys on goaltending, a better backup sure but no need for Bob or varly, Rittich is great. I think Duchene helps Calgary get 3 lines of scoring instead of 2

Lind Mon jonny
Bennet Backs. Tk
Mangi Duchene. Neal
Czar Ryan. Hath

I don't see why Detroit wouldn't take the trade
They get a pick upgrade and a good looking young defenseman and all they have to do is take a 6th dman for an extra year

The Sens might command a bit more but jank is young and really good, frolik is still a 2nd or 3rd line player and the sens then at least have a 1st, don't think they can get that much more.

5.) 25 Jan 2019 23:29:25
I agree with kobalis on his last reply

FLAMES TRADE DEADLINE

CGY
Frolik
Czanik
2nd

LA
Jake Muzzin

CGY
Stone (Cap Dump)
Kylington (I love him but there's just not spot for him)
3rd 2019
4th 2019
3rd 2020

CAR
Ferland

Sets calgary up for a stronger playoff run as well as frees up some space for our resignings, Tell me how bad i am at making trades.

Kobalis

1.) 03 Jan 2019 17:52:31
Not enough for Muzzin.

2.) 03 Jan 2019 17:56:08
Muzzin will 100% get a prospect and 1st+. don't think CAR does that either, why take on a cap dump if you're getting 3rd round picks in return?

3.) 03 Jan 2019 18:30:59
Yeah agree with vb Kings will want more for Muzzin than that. Better quality.

4.) 04 Jan 2019 23:58:19
Flames will not be trading all their draft picks.

5.) 05 Jan 2019 06:38:50
No from both teams not named Calgary Flames. Terrible for LA and Carolina.

Calgary has said their first rounder is in play

CGY
1st
Dube (Love the kid but theirs just no space)
Frolik
CONDITIONAL 2020 2nd pick if the flames make round 3
Conditional 2019 3rd if stone signs
Ott
Stone

Frolik leaves calgary to free them some cap to be able to try and keep stone or go after duchene or panarin in the offseason (would have to get someone to take mike stones contract or put him on ltir)

Ott gets into the first round, and an nhl ready prospect, frolik is a capeable player and could be flipped or kept.

Calgary should begin targeting Matt Murray
Now before you start saying pits will get rid of flurry not Murray consider this
If no team will trade for flury then at the expansion draft pits has to protect him as he has a no movement
And Murray will be taken for nothing
The price no doubt will not be cheap for Murray but all Calgary has to do is convince pits there is no way of getting rid of flury
This may be a deal done at the end of next season but still a thing Calgary should go for.

Kobalis

1.) 19 Jun 2016 02:02:25
"all Calgary has to do is convince pits there is no way of getting rid of flury"

what is the pittsburgh organisation, a three-year-old?

2.) 19 Jun 2016 02:27:39
I stopped reading after first few lines. Didn't care to hear your argument.
You're delusional if you think they keep MAF over Murray. End. Of. Story.

3.) 19 Jun 2016 03:37:37
But you see, teams will target fleury. Like earlier this week the very same flames were pushing to get fleury. If they are offering, the other teams may be too. Stupid post.

4.) 19 Jun 2016 05:08:43
Is there any proof Calgary has gone after MAF, they would be better of going for bishop or Anderson (Fredrick)
In the end if pits can't move MAF they have no choice either trade Murray or lose him for nothing.

5.) 19 Jun 2016 15:11:07
You realize there is more than o e option for the players a team can select, right? The Penguins don't really need to keep all too many players, so they could go the route of keeping 2 goalies. Again I Say stupid post.

6.) 19 Jun 2016 15:13:38
Also when the leafs were trading kessel to Pittsburgh, they wanted Murray, and the pens were like heck no, so even if you did want him, the offer would have to be significant.

7.) 19 Jun 2016 15:58:37
There are two allowable groupings of players under the CBA regarding expansion: 11 (certain numbers from certain positions) or 9 (any players) . So PIT could potentially protect both goalies.

Point is moot anyway, they aren't moving Murray.

8.) 19 Jun 2016 17:58:10
It's any skater not any player
Teams can only protect one goalie.

9.) 19 Jun 2016 18:23:03
Pretty sure chirp and I are right. Just stop trying to defend your proposal, it 99.9% won't happen. It is just a flawed idea.

10.) 19 Jun 2016 19:40:05
Actually guys, the 2 groups of protection were you 7F 3D and a goalie or 8 skaters and a goalie. There has been given a lot of attention to this expansion draft because there is no option to protect 2 goalies. That is why so many are on the block.

11.) 19 Jun 2016 21:10:44
Worse case scenario can you buy him out? Even though obviously it won't come to that.

12.) 19 Jun 2016 21:48:58
@Kobalis you're suggesting MOF isn't movable? The guys still a solid #1 goalie Murrays just better. Pens will have no problem moving him if it comes to it, they will ask for a lot then bring it down as time goes on. No way will they have trouble dealing a goalie of his calibre he's proven enough in the NHL i feel.

No thanks from Calgary, Marner is good but TK plays a special roll, and Ras looks really really good.
