Flames have no interest in trading Gaudreau.
Maube a deal involving Bennett and Brodie for Nylander, however, I don't see the need for Brodie on the Leafs, they need the gritty Manson type. Bennett could add some grit to the forwards , but I think Leafs will just let Nylander sit.

I have noticed that there seems to be a general consensus that no body wants nyolander as a hold out for a year nor do they want him for 8mil a season. Also an 8mil a season nylander has less value then a 6 mil a season nylander. I know leaffans know this but they seem to ignore it.

@Sosa, I would be interested in Bennet as part of a deal for Nylander for sure. Maybe Bennett and a young controllable D? Andsersen or valimaki?

That may do it Jim, however I think the biggest issue for everyone involved is Nylanders demands. so I agree with what Colt is stating.
However, with Toronto's abundance of gifted forwards, it does hide the fact there isn't a lot of grit. guys like Hyman, Kadri, probably have enough to get these guys by. it's the D I feel they should trade Nylander for. the Leafs have a really good chance to have a very complete team, so I'd use Nylander to get that gritty Dman. but. it all goes back to, who wants to trade for him if he is going to be firm on a deal that he doesn't deserve. Yet.

an RFA there is no upside for the Jets to make this trade.

Scheifele would be the Leafs #1 center as Matthews is always hurt and Tavares is an over payed, soft, -40 plus/ minus center who has no credibility in the playoffs, so he fits in well on the Leafs.

Well you're wrong about that. Kadri would have zero shot at being a 2C on the Jets. Without prime PP time this year he has come back down to earth and isn't a good enough playmaker to get a shot with Laine and Ehlers. Little seems to have bounced back from a down year and Kadri isn't as good a shut down center as Lowry, so he'd be a 4th liner.

Kadri has come down to earth because he plays on the 3rd line when Matthews is in the lineup. Take a look how he’s doing since moving up to 2C. Little has had a decent career playing above his skill level, just as Bozak did in Toronto. Kadri 4th center in Winnipeg, lol. Welcome back Jets fans.
