2 Kessel trades

Fla: Kessel
For
Tor: Bjugstad, Petrovic/Olsen, cond. 2nd (if Fla makes the 2016 playoffs)

Or

Dal: Kessel, Franson
For
Tor: Nishuchkin, Oleksiak, 2nd

Thoughts?

DA BOSS8

1.) Dal adds big time

2.) FLA's in the playoff push. They won't give Bjugstad. The Dallas one might (I say MIGHT) work, but I don't know about cap space and Oleksiak is one of their better prospects.

Pit: Bennett, Ebbett
for
Ott: Methot, Neil

Helps Pittsburgs by getting a good DFD and a strong man for the upcoming playoffs. Ottawa gets a young winger that would play more minutes in Ottawa.

Just a thought.

DA BOSS8

1.) Why would the Penguins do this? Bennett may be injury prone, but he's only 23 years old, he has a lot to prove.

2.) Er. Actually as I was typing this, I saw he was a healthy scratch again. So uh, I may be wrong lol. I still don't think this would be a smart trade for Pittsburgh though.

3.) The ONLY way this makes sense for Ottawa is if they can't get Methot signed. Otherwise, they would take Methot over anyone in this trade imo.

Wpg: 3rd, 5th/4rth

Min: Brodziak

Winipeg is having a great season and should get a good 4rth liner for a first playoff apearance.

This is a trade that could happen during the offseason or at the draft.

So Detroit needs a RH D and Colorado needs young D for the future. So.

Col: Ouellette, B. Smith, J. Anderson, cond. 3rd*
for
Det: E. Johnson

cond. 3rd: A 2nd if Johnson plays at least 75 games or something like that. A 3rd if that dosen't happens.

I know Johnson is great right now but I personally think he would be a better fit in Detroit. And Colorado gets a great Two-Way defencemen with a lot of potential to become a top 3 D, B. Smith that still has potential but needs to play more. J. Anderson is just to make place on Detroit's roster for the young guns(Your welcome KCM). And a good pick.

So there it is. Thoughts?

DA BOSS8

1.) Not even close det adds big time and col wouldn't trade away their number 1 d man when they need more d help

2.) When you're only two good dmen are Johnson and Barrie, and you're already a team who is struggling defensively Johnson and Barrie both become almost untouchable. Avs will not trade Johnson at the deadline or the offseason.

3.) Colorado is ready to give up young assets on forward for help on the back end. This move would make no sense at all.

Arizona said they want to keep Doan and OEL only so here's two trades:

Mtl: Hanzal

Ari: 2015 1rst, Bournival, Thrower, Andrighetto

So Mtl gets what they dream of: a BIG, physical center.
And Arizona gets a package similar to what they asked for Vermette, a 1rst, Roster player, prospect+a roster/prospect.

Ott: Stone

Ari: Prince, 2015 3rd

Michael Stone joins his brother Mark and Arizona gets a C/C+ prospect (not sure what grade he's rated) and an early 3rd.

Thoughts?

DA BOSS8

1.) Ottawa doesn't have a third this year but i'd ship our third from next year over

2.) Big no from Montreal. Massive overpayment for Hanzal

3.) So ottawa would then have 9 d men and one less prospect and pick. Doesn't make any sense

4.) If I'm the Sens I would do that Stone pick in a heartbeat. And Prince is more of a B prospect (he just keeps getting passed over for guys like Lazar, Stone, Pageau etc)

Hey Bud - right now its not really about the quantity of D, it's the quality. Sure they would have 9, assuming more moves wouldn't be made. If Ottawa has a chance to get the other Stone or Michalek, they would do that and make whatever other trades necessary to make the room.

5.) Habs: 2nd & Eller & Thrower to ARI for Hanzal

Here's just questions about the 2015 draft

#1 pick?

Late 1rst round steal?

best European?

And the bust of the top 10?

Here are my choices:

1.McDavid

2.Barzal (Was bothered by injuries) or Timo Meier

3. Defence:Killyngton Forward: Zacha

4.Kyle Connor

DA BOSS8

1.) 1. McDavid

2. Konecny

3. Kylington

4. Crouse

2.) 1 ) McDavid
2 ) Anderson
3 ) Porvorov
4 ) Zacha

3.) 1.mcdavid
2.meloche
3.porvorov
4.crouse
@Charles I love your pick of rasmus anderrson but I think somehow he is going to fall to the 2nd round but he is truly going to be steal.

4.) Oh I didn't see that it had to be a late 1st maybe Sprong then?

5.) Just pointing something out, if dylan crouse is in fact the bust of the top ten, the leafs will 100% be drafting crouse.

6.) 1st pick: McDavid
Steal: Konecny
Best Euro: Kylington
Bust: Marner

Throw Dylan Strome in as a player who gets drafted way to high and never lives up to his potential. Just like his bro.

7.) @ovies hero yea probably or the idiot oilers wholl probably trade ttheir way to get him, but the leafs are better pick lol.

I know tis is going to get a lot of bias but assuming Buffalo gets 1rst ovr pick, Edmonton 2nd and Carolina 3rd. Edmonton needs defence and Hannifin would be a perfect fit, so here it goes:

Edm: 3rd ovr pick, Skinner/J.Staal/Faulk
for
Car: 2nd ovr pick, Marincin

So Carolina can get Eichel which is way more needed in Carolina, An Edmonton gets a great defencemen (In McEichel's shadow) and a great roster player.

I know you guys are going to say ''That's way too much to move up one pick''. Eichel is a great player with 3 times Hannifin's value, but Edmonton needs this way more than another forward. And who would skip over Eichel with the 2nd ovr pick.

And if you know your hockey you will know Vancouver traded their 1rst ovr pick in 1999 to Atlanta for the 2nd ovr and+. Vancouver ended up with D.Sedin with the pick and Atlanta ended up with P.Stefan. Boom. And Florida did it in 2003.

So the Sens are shopping to trade a couple of players. Including Anderson, Methot, Phillips, Michalek and Greening.
Here's a couple of possibles scenarios:

Ott: Zykov/Forbort, 2nd/3rd, Regehr/Greene (cap)

LA: Methot, Greening
=======================
Ari: Michalek, 4rth

Ott: Stone
=======================
Ana: Phillips

Ott: 3rd, 5th
=======================
For Andy, I'm not sure what he could get in return.

If one of them bothers you, just leave a comment.

The sens need a right-handed DFD that is known for shot blocking, who could they try toaquire?

DA BOSS8

1.) 06 Oct 2014 05:07:52
those are quite hard to acquire actually, unless you want an old washed up guy, even then you're giving up a decnt pick.

mark fraser migh be a possibility though, if they'd want to take a chance on him.

2.) Doulas Murray would do the job for you

Wtf. Tanguay has been in colorado for 2 years. He didn't help those 2 at all. And why throw in a 1rst markov is way better then tanguay. Watch some hockey before writing.

ProDepth: are you comparing Konecny with Dustin Brown? Just wondering cause Konecny is 5'9.5". He is more like a small Tavares. Great vision, fast, great shot. A mix of playmaker/sniper. He's way underrated because of his size. But other than that great comparision.

Ottawa would take Kyllington before Provorov. And Pavel Zacha will also end up before Merkley.

I don't think Bryan Murray would want another bunch of forwards like he got for Spezza, but maybe something like:

Ott: Nieto, Braun/Dillon,Stalock, cond. 2nd (1rst rd pick if the Sharks ends up in the 2nd or 3rd playoff round)

SJ: Anderson and Wiercioch

Correct me if I'm wrong but Anderson has a pretty good contract for his stats 4yrs/4.5 mill. This trade is similar to the Miller one last year. I don't know about the trade, but I'm pretty sure he'll end up in the West conference.
