Marc bergevin has been seen with Chuck Fletcher this week and the wild is pushing for the playoffs so:

Mtl : Pacioretty, 2nd round pick, Daniel Carr
Min : Eriksson Ek, Olofsson, 1st round pick, 4th round pick

If mtl don't trade this for Patches I would get mad. But it's also a risk because Erickson sign doing hot this year. He's should still be a top 6 tho that gets 50+ points. If so that would be more then fair.

2.) 12 Feb 2018 21:08:31
I think Coyle would be what Habs are interested in.

3.) 12 Feb 2018 21:44:51
Sosahabs, personally I would prefer Eriksson as I hope for a rebuild rather than a quick turn around.

4.) 12 Feb 2018 22:51:42
Couple is too old. If we're trading patches sits for a guy LIKE Erickson.

5.) 13 Feb 2018 11:28:50
So why would the wild do that? They have no cap space and giving up young players is stupid! And coyle is worth probably Pacioretty.

Mtl : Pacioretty, Schlemko,

Stl : Robert Thomas, Vince dunn, 4th round pick

Without looking at salary cap, does it make sense?

1.) 29 Jan 2018 04:44:58
Why would blues trade a rookie top 4 lhd offensive dman and their top center prospest for a crappy dman and a leftwing player we don't need. Lol aweful.

2.) 29 Jan 2018 04:55:26
Don’t know how you can say you don’t “need” patches on your team that’s dumb every team could use him lol. But no from St. Louis.

3.) 29 Jan 2018 11:31:01
Redwing, because that's what it takes to get pacioretty. I'm not saying the trade is perfect but you're not getting a consistent 35 goals scorer for nothing. I'm confident that if he is traded, Bergevin will be looking for the same kind of return Sakic got for Duchene ( 2 top prospects, pick) . Also, who knows how Thomas will play? Yes he's good but he still hasn't proved anything at the next level.

4.) 29 Jan 2018 12:12:26
If every team needs a patches. Mtl should keep him for their cup run.

5.) 29 Jan 2018 19:29:39
I agree with cou that bergevin will be looking for sakic-like return, the habs are stuck with him until he's worth a less return.

6.) 29 Jan 2018 20:16:33
We don't need patches is easily broken down like this.

Jaybo will be out soon and is already on decline. Dunn a rookie beat out gunnerson for the final spot this year and has been super impressive his speed passing ability and shot has proven he will be Jaybo replacement in the future for years to come.

Statsny is ufa, usually like with steen, berglund, lehtera, eCT if Armstrong was planning on resigning him he would have extended him by now. So players like thomas, kyrou, Thompson will get a chance to step into the 2c 3c role next year. So they are needed 3 chances are better than one.

Also blues only legit rw on team is tarasenko, so we have lost in Thompson kyrou who could step into the 2rw 3rw roles next year. This is a need.

Blues already have schwartz, (better than patches) fabbri had great rookie season could return to form, steen, berglund, upshall role player, sobotka,

So when I say blues don't really need patches it's cause adding a 7th left winger to the team is not as important as keeping our youth and filling our positions of weakness with our great prospects and not selling from our weakness to add to our strength. It makes complete logical sense.

7.) 29 Jan 2018 20:36:56
If Thomas hasn't proved anything at the next level yet . Then, why is he an absolute necessity for your team, for a proven scorer? Sounds like something i wouldn't want to take a " risk " with .

8.) 29 Jan 2018 21:12:54
He is the best center prospect we have at 18 he is dominating ohl, he was best center for wjc. And on top of that every analyst, sports announcer bloggest ect has a hard on for him. Also blues have some of the best scouting around. Robert Thomas almost made the blues roster out of training camp. Just because you are not sure who he is doesn't mean he isn't good just like parayko. Everyone thought colt wasn't going to be anything and he is a pillar to blues defense.

At some point #1c centers have to be drafted. You can't trade for them and if you want to buy them in ufa they are at peak ready for decline. Just ask yourself this if he wasn't so good if he wasn't project ted to be a #1c then why does every team want him.

If walks like a duck talks like a duck it must be a duck.

9.) 29 Jan 2018 21:57:54
Duck? Huh?

10.) 30 Jan 2018 00:10:49
Metaphor for Thomas

If he plays like a 1c in juniors at 18 and is thought of as a potential nhl 1c he performs in wjc as a 1c then by God he most likely is going to be a 1c as he matures.

11.) 30 Jan 2018 01:26:07
What I don't get is everyteam wants him. (ott, nyr, mtl, buff, det and more. ) Yet everyone is saying they doubt he performs in nhl. Lol get real people.

12.) 30 Jan 2018 03:47:18
Lol Colt you never change bud.

13.) 30 Jan 2018 23:45:56
That's what i was trying to get at redwing1 . Thank you!

At the deadline :
1.
Mtl : plekanec
Cbj : 3rd round 2018

2.
Mtl : Pacioretty, 3rd 2018
Phi : Isaac Ratcliffe, Robert Hagg, 1st 2018

Thoughts?

Cou

1.) 25 Jan 2018 14:57:46
Nobody wants Plekanec.

The Flyers are building. Hextall would never sacrifice the future for Pacioretty and a short term run in which they're not well positioned or have a reasonable chance at a Cup. Pacioretty's numbers this year are also relatively pedestrian.

Is it just me, or is their an odour around Pacioretty that significantly decreases his trade value?

2.) 25 Jan 2018 22:46:30
You guys underrate plekanec so much
He kost his game offensively but he’s one of the best plauer defensively
Every noght he has to shut each teams best line
Mtl have lot of cap spacee to retain part of his contract and he is Ufa this july
He can easily get a 4th or 3rd.

3.) 26 Jan 2018 00:28:11
He could get a 2nd if a team is really desperate for a really damn good defensive center for a cup run.
If a team thinks they are on cusp of a cup, they will over pay for that peice.

4.) 26 Jan 2018 20:31:24
Plekanec is very serviceable in cores t position. i can't believe how some undervalued pacioretty.

23 Jan 2018 22:05:27
At the deadline:

Montreal : Max Pacioretty, Michael Mccarron

Vs

Winnipeg : Kristian Vesalainen, Dylan Samberg, 1st 2018, 3rd 2019

Winnipeg has a quantity of quality prospects and can afford to trade these two to get one of the best goal scorers in the league who still has one year left at 4.5 mil per. I think this trade improves Winnipeg for their playoff run and Montreal gets an appropriate return. Thoughts?

Cou

1.) 23 Jan 2018 23:35:45
Bit much from Winnipeg and apparently they are doing their homework on "an impact center"

2.) 23 Jan 2018 23:59:47
Way to much from Winnipeg.

3.) 24 Jan 2018 00:18:02
Far too much coming from Winnipeg. Max Pac is nice, but isn't a need.

Ott adds big time. Pageau is older, smaller and has no offensive upside. I don't see why habs would even consider this trade.
