I could definitly see some sort of 3-way trade involving these 2 teams. I've thought for awhile about the possibilites actually. I was hoping that CGY could make it work but I'm not sure what CGY would have to add.
Saying that, between these 2 teams alone, I think NYI adds. Fowler has more offensive upside which usually is worth more. Also, NYI are the ones with the problem of granting a trade request. Although I think the difference is minor.

What do you think of this idea :
TML : O'Reilly + 10th overall 2015 pick
COL : Gardiner + Kadri + 4th overall 2015 pick
I will explain my theory:
TML can afford the big contract that ROR is looking for. Morever ROR is still a young nuggets who can feed Kessel in goals ang gives him back his shine and a better trade value.
On the other side, Avs needs a left young top 4 pairing D as Gardiner and skilled 2C player for depth in case of MacKinnon should play winger.
Last but not least, i'm pretty sure Strome will be taken at the third slot so TML may go down and dangle Provorov or Hanifin bait to catch Avs attention.
Am I a crazy mapple leafs dude or an avalanche timberboy?

Hahah no way in hell you get gardiner Kadri and the 4th overall for that
Kadri is still young and still has time to turn the page and turn into the player he was always meant to be
Gardiner still has loads of talent
And the 4th overall should be untouchable unless we are only moving back like 2-3 slots there is no use dropping any farther back because the quality of player does drop off a bit
Provorov Lawson Barzal will all be gone by the time the leafs would be selecting if we made this trade so that means we missed out entirely on a game changing player not saying that anyone past all the top ten prospects won't be good but it appears that the top ten is so talent loaded it's ridiculous

Looks like a very reasonable trade I think that's fair value for marleau I doubt San jose could get something better than that package unless a team overpays

I would say its an over payment. Although it would be to have Marleau on Ottawa for a couple years. I wouldn't want my 18th overall pick to be a part of that trade. Marleau is 35 so at best he has maybe 3 years left and its not likely they are going to be the best years of his career. With a draft so deep this year there is a possibility that 18th pick could be a Marleau of the future. I would do it for Greening and Lehner :D

Buf earns a rw able to play on the first three lines.
BOS shed salary in a position where they have depth and may have a pretty prospect in this called "depth propects" 2015 draft.

Too much for Loui, doesn't really help Buffalo. I like him he just has concussion issues and hasn't scored consistently in the NHL

@Bj96 I don't know where you got all that but Loui played 81 games last season and was 2nd on the team for points. But yeah does negate the rebuild process Buffalo is going through and I still say Loui could fetch more albeit not much more.

Loui would help Buf, they are looking for a solid top 6 winger. Top two lines of
E.Kane Eichel Loui
Moulson Reinhart Ennis
would be pretty good moving forward, mix of youth and veteran. Blue line is the same, mix of solid youth with veteran leadership in Georges and Bogo now.

I'm not saying he's a bad player or anything, he was great when he was on Dallas.
Just look at his stats for the last 3 seasons. Last year was his best and he only had 47 points. He could always be known as the guy who was traded for Tyler Seguin and never panned out.

Ok Marleau is a little bit old but playoffs hunt is now and your premium rookie 1 round pick wiil be ready perhaps in 2 to 4 years in a optimistic point of view!!
