MTL: Chucky, Juulsen, 1st 2017, 2nd 2018
Works for both teams as NYI may lose a defenseman in the expansion draft and Juulsen will be NHL ready by the end of next season. Chucky has so much potential and will thrive being away from the headlights of Montreal. Even in a weak draft the picks are valuable.
MTL gets the franchise center that they so desperately need.

Do you honestly think an expiring contract (ie: Rental) like Tavares is going to cost Chucky, a pair of 1st round picks, a 2nd round pick, and Montreal's 2 best defense prospects?

PHL:Giroux
Gives Chucky another chance, two somewhat decent picks to Philly, a right handed defense partner in the future to play with Provorov, and Montreal get the 1st line center than they so desperately need (plus he's from Quebec) . Philly does this because they need offense and Chucky has so much offensive potential it's crazy. Montreal does it for the first line center.

I don't know if i'd give that much for Giroux, his 8.25 a year deal is hard to take. Especially with Webers contract and Price coming up. that will be close to 30 million for 3 guys.
It seems like Giroux is starting to slow at an early age. i'm worried he is no longer a point a game guy, and that's a lot of money to pay a guy to get 55 to 65 points.

I'd say reasonable return for Giroux, but can Montreal really afford his Salary. That's a lot of the youth and future mortgaged for a pretty good player that's got a couple of good years left.

MTL: Beaulieu, Juulsen, 1st, 2nd (highest second that they have) and a 2018 4th
COL: Duchene
This fits what Sakic wants (top 4 dman, 1st, D prospect) . Habs send Juulsen instead of Sergachev and compensate for this with the high 2nd and 4th. IMO it works and makes Montreal so much better. I see Duchene playing 2nd line with Galchenyuk, either as LW or C.

Bottom 6 fills itself out.

Yeah. I'd be really shocked if sergachev doesn't have to be included. Also when a team gives up that much for a guy that is easily the best centre on the team, why is he second line?! Lol only way a team trades that much and he's a second liner is like on the island where him and Tavares would be a one-two punch, or penguins where they have Crosby and malkin and he would slot in as a winger for one of them (still probably first line with Sid) but he's not stuck behind danault.

Colorado isn't in a hurry to trade Duchene. Like sakic is crazy for even wanting to trade him in the first place, and he's not going to trade him until he gets what he wants. A 2nd and a 4th does not compensate anything. Exactly what Hoff said. Sergachev needs to be included or you're not getting Duchene.

Every montreal fan would rather give up Chucky over Gally. That's a fact. He had a down year but he's someone you can't replace on the ice nor in the dressing room.

Desharnais is a former 60 point man, he can potentially do some damage but I doubt it. His play will get better with McDavid. Habs win tho.
