I'm really confused about Patches value. One trade I proposed too much for Patches, then I try to fix that and its not enough for him. I'm going to make my last proposal and really tought it threw so hopefully you guys think it's good for both teams involved:

Mtl: Patches, 2 rd pick 2018

CCY: Anderson,Bennett,1 rd pick 2018

Hopefully this one is better. We got the young center and the first in they're.Anderson I really like as a D prospect

1.) 16 Jan 2018 17:44:17
This is better absolutely, just I imagine flames don’t do this unless they were going on a cup run imo and I don’t believe they are, and if flames are giving up that much I do think they will try and get a RW to play on that top line. But this is a better trade!

2.) 16 Jan 2018 18:00:17
I don't know anything about Anderson, Buck. who is he.?
As for Bennett, he scares me lol. He's still young, and has a lot of potential. however, we have been saying that about Galchenyuk forever now.
I guess when It comes to trading Patches. it's really hard to judge his value. like you said.
I think this is better than some, forsure., I would want to know more about Anderson.

3.) 16 Jan 2018 17:45:17
Tough crowd on this site for sure!

Calgary has no first rounder in 2018 so that poses an immediate problem to the proposal. 2018 1st and 2nd belong to the NYI.

Bennett I don't think is enough to start conversations as he has ranged from bust to productive, back to bottom 6 and next? Who knows. Too much inconsistency to be a center piece. Montreal from what I've read wants someone that can be a first line center in a few years, and Bennett does not appear to be headed in that direction.

Sorry, I don't see Calgary having the assets necessary to get Paccoretti this year. I think other teams will offer more value in a trade than Bennett.

Personally I think the habs will dangle patches for Dubois and even add if needed. A French kid with size, center with more potential than Bennett to be a real top 6 center.

4.) 16 Jan 2018 18:34:22
No 1st hey? If that's the case, ya no deal Did they use that to get Hamonic? Anyway, I like the Dubois idea, but it would be pretty hard to get him. Did hear the panel on HNIC talking about it during Habs/ Bruins game on Sat.

15 Jan 2018 21:00:12
Mtl: Patches,Byron

Flo: Matheson, Bjugstad

Could this work for both teams?

1.) 15 Jan 2018 21:43:11
Come on man, Pacioretty worth a lot more than that.

2.) 15 Jan 2018 22:50:55
It’s not like the return is horrible but it feels like you’re literally just trying to get rid of him.

3.) 15 Jan 2018 23:22:46
I think Montreal needs to get a 1st and a younger player in return for patches.

4.) 16 Jan 2018 01:03:08
I think McJesus nailed it.

5.) 16 Jan 2018 02:31:55
A couple years ago, I was all about Habs trying to get Bjugstad., however I think he has platuead in his career, and is not the player I thought he would become., still a good player, jus not the first liner I thought. ( why I don't make many trade proposals. I suck at it haha)
So I think Patches can fetch more, along the lines of what McJesus said.

15 Jan 2018 19:33:57
ML: JVR, Kapanen, Sosh,2rd pick2018

Car: Faulk

1.) 15 Jan 2018 21:16:54
JVR = UFA so he has next to no value other than perhaps the traditional trade deadline 2nd round pick for his rental services.
If he had some term on his contract left, the deal would stand a better chance of being considered.

2.) 15 Jan 2018 21:27:30
Too much maybe jvr and Sosh would be enough.

3.) 15 Jan 2018 22:18:35
You're joking AO99, right? Please say you're joking.

4.) 15 Jan 2018 22:50:55
Lolllll no they arent.

5.) 15 Jan 2018 22:53:05
Unless JVR will sign in Carolina I don’t know if they’d ask for him if they are trading Faulk. going to want a forward (preferably centerman) to be locked up and have atleast some term.

6.) 15 Jan 2018 23:54:09
Too much from T.O.

7.) 16 Jan 2018 00:16:47
Not saying that this is a good trade for either team but saying JVR has next to no value because he’s a UFA is dead wrong. Maybe like mcjesus said, he’s not the right fit for this trade, but a guy that’s a consistent 28-30 goal scoring winger, with size and playoff experience (and on pace for his highest goal total of his career) will get a 2nd round pick as a deadline rental? Lol wake up. Roman Polak got 2 2nds as a bottom pair rental, Daniel winnik got a good prospect (Connor carrick and a 2nd) as a 4th line rental. If they want to move him, he’s worth a prospect and a 1st round pick like Evander Kane will fetch and what patches would fetch this time next year if he’s still a hab.

8.) 16 Jan 2018 00:32:58
I mean let’s just say jvr signs for 6x6 Carolina is getting a 30 goal 30 assist man and that would be very good for them.

9.) 16 Jan 2018 02:05:36
AO99 let's just say Carolina just simply signs him to that in the off season and not just give away Faulk.
How about E. Kane, Jake McCabe for Morgan Reilly. Leafs sign Kane. See how stupid that sounds now?

10.) 16 Jan 2018 02:06:13
Them signing JVR would be good for them.
Them trading Faulk for him would be absolutely retarded.

11.) 16 Jan 2018 14:07:10
@yup, I wouldn’t say it’s ‘absolutely retarded’ they aren’t trading Faulk for JVR straight up. It’s known they’re going after offense, if they’re going to try to sign a guy like him in the offseason anyway and are stacked with young D on long contracts, they can afford to lose Faulk. They’re not trading him 1 for 1, they’re also getting a real good prospect in kapanen, a depth forward with some upside in soshnikov and a second round pick. They’re 4 pts out of a divisional playoff spot and 2 pts out of a wildcard spot and have a new owner that took over just a week ago. He would love to make a run and have early success i'm sure. If you deal from your deepest position to add what you really need and get a few futures with it, I don’t see how it’s retarded, but we don’t see eye to eye on a lot apparently.

12.) 16 Jan 2018 14:14:38
Not to mention how many multi year UFA signings are regretted by their team within months of deal (see David Clarkson, Milan Lucic, Dave Bolland, Kris Russel, Karl Alzner), the opportunity to ‘test drive’ a guy like JVR to see his fit with your team, coaches and system before committing 6-7 years and 40 mill should be worth something on its own.

13.) 16 Jan 2018 16:33:45
Lol. You did well in dressing that one up hey.
This deal would be absolutely retarded by Carolina.

14.) 16 Jan 2018 17:30:05
Okay lol a really good D with term (from a team loaded with D) for a really good winger as a rental with a chance to resign, a good prospect, pick and another cheap player is awful. I never said it’s a great deal either way, but there has been thousands of proposals from lots of people here that make far less sense for one or both teams.

15.) 16 Jan 2018 17:33:42
I can't tell you the Oilers did not regret the Lucic and Russell signing within months of singing it. Not sure why you brought that up.
Maybe years down the road but not months.
Why do you keep bringing up Lucic when Eriksson, Ladd, Backes were basically the same UFA signings, same time. This three one year older. And Lucic is putting up the best points. But hey, you're just a hater, I understand. Why would you bring up camparables that make his deal look good! Lol
Russel is a good #4 D man who leads the league in block shots. Those guys make $4M a year. Some #4 D men make more!

They were sure hoping for more from Alzner that's for sure. He should have been same deal as Russell.

But hey, trading Faulk for a UFA you're arguing has value cause they would resign him and some other prospect wingers. Is just hilarious. Why don't they just not give you Faulk. And go after JVR in the summer for free! Way smarter. Don't dress it up man. It's retarded.

16.) 16 Jan 2018 18:26:15
Those were just signings that came to mind. You’re exactly right that Eriksson, ladd and Backes are in the same boat. Sorry for not mentioning them. I wasn’t picking on your precious oilers, also had a hab player in there, a panther and one of my own leafs lol.

17.) 16 Jan 2018 18:38:28
And I’m not an oilers hater at all. I have defended oilers in many bad proposals. I have praised RNH when guys put him down on here or lowballed on him. I like a lot of the oilers players. But calling the Lucic signing bad is picking on the oilers? No, it’s common sense. I've seen lots of bad signings over the years on the leafs and have no problem saying it. luckily we haven’t had them with the newest management, oilers have. Deal with it.

18.) 16 Jan 2018 18:45:17
Backes has 1 less goal, 11 less points in 21 less games coming back from colon and intestinal surgery than lucic does this season. I’d say he’s pretty equal, if not doing better. And helping his team make the playoffs. But I’m sure that’s mean to say too.

15 Jan 2018 18:44:25

Car:Gauthier, 1 rd pick 2018

Anaheim gets out of Perry contract while he still has decent value with no retention and still gets a solid prospect and a first and Carolina gets a big top line right winger to put them over the top for the next couple years.

1.) 15 Jan 2018 19:10:25
Perry has like 6 goals in 30 something games this year.

2.) 15 Jan 2018 19:35:51
Perry ain’t getting that lol.

3.) 16 Jan 2018 01:07:44
Perry got old really fast. His decline is kinda puzzling actually.

15 Jan 2018 16:42:15
Mtl: Gallagher, Patches, Evans

Clb: Dubois, Murray

1.) 15 Jan 2018 17:01:33
no chance Columbus does this. dubois is there number one center right now and the future of their team.

2.) 15 Jan 2018 17:11:01

3.) 15 Jan 2018 17:30:24
Oh yikes.

4.) 15 Jan 2018 17:31:06
I know it sounds like a stretch., however watching HNIC on Sat, it was mentioned that Jackets feel they have a 2 yr window . and may be willing to do something big to get over the hump. Montreal and Dubois were mentioned.
I think it will be tough to make a deal, however it's not as far fetched as some may think.
I would replace Gallagher with Shaw., add a 2nd.

Chi: Hartman, Seabrook, 1rd pick 2018

Obviously th pick is added to dump Seabrooks contract.Chi does that plus they get a very good solid RHD that has a deal that's almost up I believe. Not 100 percent sure tho. Chi gets a replacement for him while adding a very good forward prospect and another first rounder.Does it work for both teams?

1.) 16 Jan 2018 12:40:57
I meant Colorado in the last part lol.

16 Jan 2018 02:09:06
Win:Morrisey,1 rd 2018

Mtl:Patches,3 rd pick 2018

I don't really know exactly how much Morrisey is worth but, Mcjesus mention a first and young player. One of are biggest needs beside center LHD.Is this clost? Does Winnipeg need/want Patches? And is this price reasonable if so

1.) 16 Jan 2018 05:33:12
I don't think they want or need Patche in Winnipeg. they may have the best set of wingers in the league. with Wheeler ( when Shieffle is healthy) Laine and Ehlers leading the way.

2.) 16 Jan 2018 17:08:15
Wpg isn't going to trade arguably there best dman of late for patches let alone add a first. Morriseys looking like a stud.

16 Jan 2018 02:05:45

RNH is not a number one center. He will never be a number one center except maybe one my hand by default lol. However is playing very well this year and I really do wish him the best since he's been struggling in the past and deserves to get past that.
