Yeah clearly no from Islanders, and with the expectations St. Louis has on the return for Shattenkirk, this probably isn't enough for them. And it definitely should be enough.

Larsson is already better than shatty and will get better colt. Shatty is an offensive dman so he gets more points, not great defensively, he's 3rd or 4th best defenseman on stl.

Colt55 Shatty is not that good a dman looks really good in stl yes because of the system and depth they have as a organization when he gets traded you will see how much you have him over valued. Larson hall trade was oilers trading from depth to get need thus is a very high upside trade the only argument for Shatty you have is his points yes he is a good offensive dmen but that's it larsson can play d better then Shatty and has a good first pass out of the zone which is 1 of the most important things for a dman in the nhl today. The taresanko comment every team is involved in a lopsided trade all the time this one worked for them. And in my opinion yak does have value and the oilers are smart to not sell low on this guy he is still young has tons of talent if he plays with McDavid this year he will have a huge year. So stop over value Shatty do I think he will get a top prospect and a pick yes but that's cause of the market right now. And before you say I'm a biased oilers fan that is not it.

OK mike you are biased. Shatty had a bad playoff. Every player has a down year. LArson does not rank in top 50 of dmen and shatty is top 30 so however ytou wanna spin it is fine. Shatty is a great defenseman who excells on the offensive side. He would be the best dman on the oilers or on the devils right now. Second best on most teams. So please stop underrating him. As for LArson for Hall. chirelli got a young #2 dman with good defense but no offense skill and he paid a premium but by doing so he dropped some cap which he will need in the future. My guess is he is trying to use larson as a stop gap till nurse and kleff palat and davidson develope. I understand the trade but let's get one thing straight larson is a top 4 with #3 or #2 upside that's it. Shatty is a #1 or #2 with offensive upside. YTou can always use hero stats or corsi or whatever you like but shatty is way better than larson .

I think those trades are bad that the flames don't need holes in the lineup to get rid of players that will work this year and a couple prospects. Most of those players' contracts are up this year anyways.

I think he means Barbashev is not top 6 NHL ready yet, but can fill a4rd or 4th line roll. I think he is ready for 3-4th line Centre or middle 6 wing. Just need a team that will let him play.
Also I think this is one of the better Shattenkirk trades. Blues mauve add a 4th though.

I don't have JVR better than Skinner by alot. Skinner is the better goal scorer and younger. His injury problems are what? He played 82 last year and 70+ the 2 years prior. I would take JVR on my team over Skinner, but I would also consider a straight up trade as their value is close. Maybe skinner and a 4th or 3rd for JVR.

I can see Loov and JVR for Trouba but i believe anything else is to expensive.

If Gadreau was unhappy about how contact talks are going he would have filed for arbitration. Him and Monahan are working out every detail on their big contacts. They want to play together long term and make the same $$.
