So I thought of this and don't know the value but ill ask

Edm: Faulk
Car: RNH

Then...

Edm signs Hanzal @ 3years ×3.5AAV

They lose a center but hanzal can play second or third line center, and they get someone young to replace Sekera? Opinions?

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 21 May 2017 05:10:29
another 2/ 3 RHC might be had for Edmonton (Bozak? ) . feel like alittle more would be needed for the Faulk deal, possibly a 2018/ 19 second, or a prospect.

2.) 21 May 2017 05:37:19
Lol
A lot more would be needed than Nuge with a $6 million a year contract and still 0 playoff goals.

3.) 21 May 2017 06:04:44
@Borje
Let's not be dismissive of the deal, the two are near equivalent, if Faulk is worth "a lot" more then Carolina would have been contenders already. So extra pieces on the oilers behalf are what's necessary to neutralize that big contract.

4.) 21 May 2017 08:15:14
Borje is the biggest hater iv ever seen.

5.) 21 May 2017 14:38:32
You can say that Mcjesus buy at the end of the day what he says is right it's just exaggerated a tad. But he's right RNH isn't even clost. Add to be worth Faulk especially with his contract. RNH is worth a defensemen like Mark Pysyk to give you an idea of what he's worth atm. Evevn then Oilers would need to add.

6.) 21 May 2017 16:00:29
Agree with Borje oils add Larson IMO he's a decent replacement.

7.) 21 May 2017 15:02:04
I'd say RNH and Larson for Faulk Is fair.

8.) 21 May 2017 18:46:36
The gap between Faulk and Larsson is NOT Nuge.
Holy delusional Oilers hate Borje and VB. Wtf.
Larsson and Nuge for Faulk. One of the dumbest things I've read in a while.

9.) 21 May 2017 18:45:48
Idk Larson isn't worth much and RNH
Is overated for is production. i'd say center then it's no from Carolina. Maybe Draisalt +.

10.) 21 May 2017 23:42:04
More from Edmonton. Faulk produces similar offence and I don't care how "defensive" Nuge is I'm still going to say Faulk is better defensively.

11.) 21 May 2017 23:45:11
Adam Larsson is turning into one of the best defensive d-men in the league, Larsson is not the gap between Nuge and Faulk.

12.) 22 May 2017 06:30:55
No
Larson is going to be very good. Nuge is not though. Especially not at $6million.

20 Jul 2016 23:05:04
Now I know some of these trades a probably horrid and sound so bad but it's just a thought and a what if:

To Nash: D. Sedin, H. Sedin, 2017 1st
To Van: Colin Wilson, Ryan Johanssen

To Col: Edler, Sbisa, 2018 2nd, 2017 3rd conditional; Barrie resigns turns to 2017 2nd
To Van: Tyson Barrie, Eric Gelinas

To L. A: Tanev
To Van: Muzzin

Lines:
Erikkson-Wilson-Johanssen
Baerstchi-Horvat- Virtanen
Etem-Sutter-Hansen
Burrows/ Guance-Grandlund-Dorsett

Muzzin-Barrie
Gelinas-Gudbranson
Hutton- Tryakmin/ Biega
Subban

Is this a contending team? I understand there might have to be adding or there might be over payment, I feel like that would be a nice young team, Even though the sedins are valued so much I feel like Nashville would be a cup favourite, The Col deal I feel Barrie would be a nice fit in Van and Edler could help out Col. The L. A deal I feel is equal value but I only traded tavev to even out rhd vs lhd.

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 21 Jul 2016 05:23:56
Nashville trade to me means Preds win this upcoming year or not at all, long term that doesn't help them and they gave up a huge piece for Johanssen.

Considering other offers for Barrie got shot down that I personally think are better, I'm going to assuming no from Colorado, not even quality.

And I think LA says no, strictly because Muzzin plays well with Doughty, and he even made the World Cup because of it.

I think that definitely makes Vancouver a very strong team, but none of those are possible.

2.) 21 Jul 2016 15:06:39
Not sure why so many people think Barrie is a top pairing defenseman, he is a liability in his own zone. PP specialist in top 4-6, not worth building around though.

20 Jul 2016 23:14:11
Van- Hansen
Wash- Wilson

Fair?

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 21 Jul 2016 03:24:30
Value to their own team is probably close. I just feel that Washington doesn't move a bottom 6 with size and power for one that doesn't. Even if he has other strengths like his speed.

2.) 21 Jul 2016 03:41:07
Wilson>Hansen.

3.) 21 Jul 2016 04:10:59
Canucks add quite a bit. Maybe I over rate Wilson but I like what he brings. Maybe Canucks don't add a lot like I think they would need too but they defs add.

4.) 21 Jul 2016 05:26:17
Wilson > Hansen, long term and now imo.

19 Jul 2016 23:23:31
Here's a trade for you hungry edmonton fans, you want a rhd? You want a cup? Well with these 2 players they'll take you right there.

Islanders: Boychuk, De Haan
Oilers: Eberle, Davidson

Look you get a Johnny rocket on the point and some other guy, I feel it's fair.

Fair? Or do I need my head checked?

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 20 Jul 2016 04:23:00
Its fair to me. don't know boychuks value quite enough

2.) 20 Jul 2016 04:44:11
Boychuck doesn't want to play in Edmonton, and yes he was born here. For that reason no, but yes I'd love if we had that rocket on the point that would be awesome!

3.) 20 Jul 2016 04:50:14
Eberle >> Boychuck
Davidson > De Haan.

4.) 20 Jul 2016 04:58:53
Yes having no good wingers and an old fart will bring us the cup.

5.) 20 Jul 2016 10:23:56
Wideman has a rocket shot and is right handed. Maybe if Calgary retained on him, Wideman could be a useful asset or swapping Fayne and Wideman

6.) 20 Jul 2016 18:59:50
First smart thing Iv seen MB say ever, I'm proud.

07 Jul 2016 08:02:26
Ok so I don't know much about this player and if he'd fit what the Vancouver Canucks are looking at but would David Jones (RW) be a "Tall gritty scoring forward" or no?

&&
Since Sbisa is on the block
Van: Sbisa, 2nd
Phi: Del Zotto

&&& is this fair?

Ana: Silferberg
Edm: Yakupov.

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 07 Jul 2016 10:57:10
Very easy pass from Anaheim.

2.) 07 Jul 2016 12:09:30
David Jones is a mediocre 3rd liner at best.

Debatable from Philly but probably still no considering they have Gudas as their Defensive RHD.

3.) 07 Jul 2016 14:34:24
Zero chance ducks make that trade lol. And I doubt philly does it as well.

4.) 07 Jul 2016 15:11:17
Agreed Ducks wouldn't do it. But if you actually look Silfverberg hasn't done much better and is 3 years older. Yak definitely has the higher ceiling.

5.) 07 Jul 2016 15:51:12
Yak attack is not worth much. Honestly Edm should pair him with mcdavid and allow yak to play in real system for the second year in a row. the only thing you lack is a great puck moving dman, which when lklef palat is healthy should provide. Get conor with speed a set up guy and let Yak be what he was a pure goal scoring sniper. If he comes out of the season or by deadline with 20+ goals trade when value is high, right now value is very low.

6.) 07 Jul 2016 17:12:55
Bingo colt.

7.) 07 Jul 2016 18:04:15
I think Colt learned his lesson from yesterday and is normal again. Good job I'm happy for you.

8.) 07 Jul 2016 18:27:16
@Ebs
Silverberg plays a very strong two way game. I'd take Silfverberg 10 outta 10 times over Yak.

9.) 07 Jul 2016 18:56:49
Colt- they tried that experiment last year, pairing up mcdavid and yak - didn't work. Yak is fast, but no chemistry with mcdavid (let alone any other oiler forward) .
Best way to describe yak is: "He is rowing the boat, making lots of waves out there on the ice, but the boat is not going anywhere". Make sense? Good.

10.) 07 Jul 2016 20:51:43
I think you play the best available player with mcdavid, which is ebs. Great chemistry and he is a natural scorer. Put Yak Pouliot and Nuge together for a second line and I think he can do well on that line too, as Pouliot and Nuge are not shoot first players.

11.) 07 Jul 2016 20:59:10
@BJ ohh okay didn't know that. And yeah so would I not disagreeing with that.

12.) 07 Jul 2016 21:00:35
Yak was number 2 in points on the team while playing with McDavid at the beginning of the season. They had chemistry if you ask me @Ron.

13.) 07 Jul 2016 21:21:24
Yakupov did play well with Mcdavid, but mostly players would with Mcdavid, also Flyers keep Del Zotto, Sbisa is really bad.

14.) 07 Jul 2016 23:31:43
Yak finally played in a legit system with the new coach todd. Give it another year of this system add lucic or another grinder/ play maker and he may put up enough points to up his value.

FYI
My trade offers are legit less than what was being asked or offered. Shatty is being undervalued here compairables him to Larson one is top 25 one is top 50. If is promised to extend he us worth that value.

15.) 07 Jul 2016 23:46:17
Ebs also had good chemistry with Nuge. If you ask me if they keep Yak at least get some production out of him and play him with McDavid.

16.) 08 Jul 2016 03:24:27
Ebs - you had better chemistry with mcdavid than yak did. Hence why todd moved him there.
Hell, I would have chemistry on mcDavids line this year and I'm late 30's with a terrible shot but good skater. Think chia trolls these boards? ;)

17.) 08 Jul 2016 05:55:55
But Ebs is capable of putting up numbers without McDavid and Yakupov isn't. RNH- Ebs, McDavid- Yak, Draisaitl- Puljujarvi. Maybe a possibility?

18.) 08 Jul 2016 14:17:32
Ya maybe. I guess it comes down to where your going to get the most value/ efficiency out of your line combos. I think that's

Maroon McDavid Ebs
Lucic Drais Yak.

16 May 2017 22:29:16
Now before i get hate i was just screwing around with cap friendly rebuilding the canes, i don't really know the value of some of the players:

Edm: RNH
Canes: Faulk

Canes: Ward
Jets: Enstrom

Canes: Staal
Preds: Ellis or Ekholm

Canes: Skinner
Sens: Wideman

Sign:
Eaves 2years @ 2.5m
Oshie or williams 4years @ 6m or 3years @ 4.5
Palat 6years @ 3.5m

Palat-RNH-Oshie or Williams
Aho-Rask-Lindholm
Nordstrom-Ryan-Eaves
Terevanian-Mcginn-Stempniak

Enstrom-Ellis or Ekholm
Hanfin- Slavin
Pesce-Wideman

Opinions on how this team would do?

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 17 May 2017 02:30:48
Yup you really don't know the value of those players. That Skinner trade is horrible!

2.) 17 May 2017 02:36:59
RNH + small add could get Faulk I think so that's close.

I don't think Winnipeg does the Enstrom for Ward deal. They need LHDMAN before an inconsistent veteran goalie.

Nashville laughs and hangs up, they aren't going to sell either of those 2 Dmen cheap. Staal isn't enough, quite good but not enough.

I think your undervaluing Skinner, Wideman is good but not quite as proven as Skinner. Ottawa adds here I think.

I can see most of those signings being possible but no way are the Canes going to offersheet Palat. Can't see that, it's too risky for them.

That's my take on what you did. Would love to hear others thoughts.

3.) 17 May 2017 04:04:40
Enstrom is declining a bit (age) so he just isn't a top pairing anymore. Jets wouldn't do this before the expansion draft. after they probably still wouldn't could get a goalie with out giving up an active roster player. But I do like it. Just don't think the jets should do it.

4.) 17 May 2017 05:20:55
Jets wouldn't have to protect Enstrom if it was before the expansion draft, pretty big deal. Not exactly sure who all the Canes have to protect on D but with Darling now that could be a decent trade.

5.) 17 May 2017 07:45:02
Man o man skinner for wideman really bad for CAR. Btw Ondrej Palat is a RFA so you can't just sign him you would have to trade for him.

6.) 17 May 2017 09:41:26
I'd LOVE if Palat agreed to that deal with the Canes. TB could simply match and have a top 6 guy for 3,5 per for 6 years, hope this happens! lol.

7.) 17 May 2017 11:15:11
Palat is a Rfa, if he signs a 3.5 offer sheet Tampa will for sure match it and thank him for taking a pay cut. Only way he takes 3.5 is for maybe a 2 year bridge deal.

8.) 17 May 2017 11:16:37
So bad for Canes, wtf. They get hosed in every deal except the Nashville one which Preds would not do. Eaves will get more coming off his performance this season and Palat is an RFA not UFA. Leave the trades and signings to Francis and co because this is bad man.

11 May 2017 05:53:13
Pens in 5
Preds in 6

Agree?

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 11 May 2017 06:02:55
Im going Ducks in 7. And the scrappy Sens will put up a fight, but lose in 6.
An all bird final.

2.) 11 May 2017 11:18:17
I say Pens in 7. Sens proved everyone wrong when people said 'Rangers in 5'. And Preds in 6.

3.) 11 May 2017 15:30:32
I was one of those Rangers in 5 TSS. Lol. glad I was wrong.

4.) 11 May 2017 16:20:46
lol sosa. hope the sens prove us wrong again and beat the pens.

5.) 11 May 2017 16:34:46
Im actually going for Pens. lol. if a Eastern Canadian team is going to won the cup, better be my Habs. if not I'll go for Captain Canada. Sidney Crosby. And I think they have a better chance of beating Ducks or Preds. for some reason., I jus can't get on Sens bandwagon. maybe they can turn me.

09 Apr 2017 10:50:48
So here's my prediction for the playoffs;
West:
Hawks vs. Preds: Hawks in 5
Wild vs. Blues: Wild in 6
Flames vs. Ducks: Flames in 5
Oilers vs. Sharks: Oilers in 6
East:
Caps vs. Bruins: Caps in 4
Habs vs. Rangers: Habs in 5
Pens vs. Blue Jackets: Pens in 5
Leafs vs. Sens: Leafs in 6

I think that Calgary has the easiest ride, I know Anaheim isn't a joke but neither is Calgary, and with Fowler out it doesn't help, the Oilers would get past the sharks easily I believe so that would mean flames vs oilers but I think flames take it, then it's on to the Hawks most likely which will most likely be a 7 game series.
But in the west it's tougher, we have a young gunning Toronto team that has stolen the crowd this year and we also have a very skilled Caps team that tore it up, but I believe price might steal the show in the east and bring the Habs to the cup.

But my Stanley Cup final prediction?
Flames vs Habs

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 09 Apr 2017 12:57:47
Is this a troll?

2.) 09 Apr 2017 15:41:27
I wish .

3.) 10 Apr 2017 12:57:12
Considering Calgary hasn't won in Anaheim in 25 games, this won't happen. I would love if Calgary could even make it a 7 game series at this point.

01 Jan 2017 05:41:37
So I don't know what's going on with the Olympics but here's a good roster for team canada:
Forwards:
Toews
Stamkos
Perry
Crosby
Tavares
Hall
Benn
Seguin
Couture
McDavid?
Eberle?
RNH?

Defence:
Doughty
Letang
Keith
Vlasic
Pietranegelo
Giordanao
Weber
Burns?
Ekblad?

Goalies:
Price
Fluery
Crawford

I think it's a good team, I think the defence is killer too.

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 01 Jan 2017 10:46:51
Nice troll.

11 Jul 2016 23:24:21
So I know you Buffalo fans will hate this trade but let's see what you all think, Vancouver needs a player who's tough but can score, and he can play anything on offensive lines and pk and pp:

Van: Edler, 2017 2nd, 2018 1st, Biega
Buf: O'Rielly

Any advice?

BolieveTheCanucks

1.) 12 Jul 2016 02:38:38
That 2018 1st could easily be top 3. That alone some could argue being more valuable than O'Rielly. Lol.
This might be closer now than people think, But I still don't think buffalo trade him for that right now myself.
He's a pretty damn important part of that team.
Switch in E. Kane. Take out the first and maybe add another 2nd? That's more realistic than them trading O'Rielly. Just signed him big $ long term too. Most don't see them trading him right now.

2.) 12 Jul 2016 04:18:52
O'Rielly isn't moving unless if it's a huge over payment.

3.) 12 Jul 2016 05:27:16
Not interest in adding ROR. Then again Canucks don't have the assets available to trade for a guy like ROR.

4.) 12 Jul 2016 06:46:20
Ryan O'Reilly tough? I'm not sure if you mean tough to play against because he's good defensively. He has 72 career PIM, I don't know if he's ever fought in the NHL. He's a solid 2 way player and would love him on my team.

5.) 12 Jul 2016 15:13:52
You don't have to get penalty minutes to be tough, or fight even their is other ways to be tough.

@TopShelfSlappers
Trade isn't too bad if you look at it, he's basically getting a lot because of what he's sending there, like RNH could easily fetch a 1st, 2nd, and maybe a player, plus yakupov and davidson? Calgary is also getting back a young 2 way 2nd line centre, a sniper to be and a young growing dman. If you look at it on paper 7 for 3 in this deal isn't bad it's fitting needs and it's just how much those 3 players together are.

Your going to have more then 1 mil of cap, your going to drop like 8 Mil just by getting rid of hamhuis and vrbata,

Not enough for hamonic, as a canucks fan I'd love this trade but not enough, throw a pick in and maybe I could see it. Vrbata could fetch a late first rounder IMO but maybe a 2nd depending on the team. I like the Hamhuis trade, Jim Benning would too seeing how he loves giving our team to Anahiem but I could see hamhuis going to Washington, New York Rangers, Pittsburg, and Montreal.
