Hamonic isn't worth a top 5 pick in the draft, which the oilers pick is all but guaranteed to be.

First off a top 5 pick for Hamonic isn't too much worth it on Edmonton's end. Yes we are getting a 2nd and a 4th however. It's good for Edmonton because we finally get that defence men we desperately need. Islanders get a role to use if Okposo leaves, a presence in the defence role to take over Hamonic and Chychurin most likley.

Wrong, when they are RFAs they can be offered offer sheets, and their team can match it if they would like, but the team to offer them a contract must fork over a certain draft pick if they sign.
