i have a hard time believing Nylander gets you Gaudreau. don't get me wrong, Nylander is good, but Gaudreau is a level above him.

Gaudreau is better than Nylander, Brodie has more value than Barrie considering the latter’s start, and Petan has next to zero value. In short, not even close.
Johnsson would get you one of Jenner or Savard, but not both, and Ceci doesn’t get either. So again, not even close.

Nylanders contract carries more value to it than Gaudreau who is only signed for a couple more years. Calgary isn’t hurting for money, but that cheap contract of Nylander looks like a mighty attractive trade chip.

Petan isn't nearly enough to even this out. Brodie is having a much better year (not points but performance) than Barrie even though both teams well underperforming. And then nylander for gudreau is laughable.

Why is Nylander for Gaudreau so laughable? I’m not saying Calgary does it, but if they don’t get any better offers, they just might not have a choice if he wants out. Nylander is signed long term and entering his prime. Gaudreau is peaking and comes with a shot term deal before asking for his retirement fund next deal.

Nope fanatic, that's dumb, if they can't get fair value for gudreau they keep him and look elsewhere. there's not an immediate need to trade him bad offers, he's still signed past this year so they have lots of time to wait for a fair offer.

Anyway as per my previous two statements
“Previous†means most recent. I stated Tanev has zero value because he is always injured. I then followed it up by saying for the 30 games he’d play he is solid ( although last year that was not the case ) now in the NHL each season there is 82 games played and if a player were to play only 30 of the 82 games his impact would be irrelevant and on top of that it’d kill a cap strapped team like Toronto. You’re very welcome for the Knowledge now let’s make this the most disagreed upon post in this sites history.
