- Laurent Brossoit

- 2018 2nd

- Michael Frolik

Calgary is having backup goalie issues.
Rittich doesn't seem that great.

Edmonton's PK sucks and Frolik is a PK specialist.

Works for both teams, no?

1.) 05 Jan 2018 11:38:25
No from Calgary. They have no need for Brossoit and originally traded him to edmonton. They need RW's and frolik has good chem with backlund and tkachuk. So there are a lot of reasons why Calgary says no.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 14:11:11
Flames say no. And Frolik is a good fit in Calgary.
$4.3M for two more years with a modified NTC.
Oilers should be trying to add a better winger in the off season anyways.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 16:30:27
Rittich has posted much better numbers than Brossoit and you think a consistent 40 point scorer will get a trash backup and a second? You clearly have 0 hockey knowledge.

4.) 05 Jan 2018 18:55:08
Hard to call a 23/ 24 year old goalie trash when most goalies don’t become good in the league until they are around 28+ .

5.) 05 Jan 2018 20:26:45
Hard to say rittich isn’t hat good when he’s 25 and excelled in a backup role so far.

6.) 05 Jan 2018 23:55:48
Look around the league and see how many starters weren’t good before 28 years old. some take that long but saying most aren’t good till 28 is not true.

7.) 06 Jan 2018 00:10:30
Price, rask, quick, Holtby, lundqvist, Schneider, luongo, vasilevsky, bobrovsky, Bishop, fleury, Murray, jones, Crawford and ward were all either really good or great before 25. A cpl others like Pekka rinne and freddy Andersen were 26 when they took over as good starters. Although Andersen held the record for fastest goalie in history to 50 wins before that. There’s a lot better chance both broissot and Rittich are are their best today than they will be stars. But always a chance for a late bloomer.

8.) 06 Jan 2018 05:26:03
Well, EDM is going to have to place Brossoit on waivers when they send him down to get playing time. CGY can just claim him then.
And, Rittich has been good. He’s won his 1st 4 NHL starts. Maybe do a little research.

Buffalo Sabres:

- Darnell Nurse

- Ryan Nugent-Hopkins

Edmonton Oilers:

- Jake McCabe

- Ryan O'Reilly

Oilers get a solid centre with great two way skills.

Buffalo helps their defence by acquiring Nurse. Literally nobody on the Sabres blue-line plays a physical game so this would really help them.

ROR contract decreases his value ever so slightly.

But the question is, is the difference between Jake McCabe and Darnell Nurse big enough to fill the difference between RHN and ROR?

1.) 05 Jan 2018 07:37:42
No big time from Edm.

2.) 05 Jan 2018 09:30:44
Um the question is rather is the difference between ROR and RNH big enough to make up for Nurse being worth quite a lot more than McCabe and my answer to this would definitely be no.

3.) 05 Jan 2018 13:32:51
Woah, huge no from Edm.

4.) 05 Jan 2018 16:09:49
No from Buffalo O’Rielly is a great 2way Center and can play 1st line. Nuge is an okay 2nd liner but is no where near O’Rielly. Nurse is extremely overrated and there isn’t really a gap between him and McCabe. He will be a good 5 defensman.

- 2018 1st Round Pick

- Ville Pokka

- 2018 conditional 2nd&5th (If the Chicago's 2018 First round pick is after the 24th selection)

- 2019 2nd round pick

- 2020 3rd round pick

Chicago :

- Max Pacioretty

I didn't post in like a year, don't judge me.

Chicago's LW depth kinda sucks. Saad isn't performing the way Chicago hoped he would.

Montreal can start a much needed rebuild.

Ville Pokka is NHL Ready.

1.) 04 Jan 2018 06:14:47
Well um that’s a lot from Chicago lol nah.

2.) 04 Jan 2018 07:39:10
Ville pokka was on waviers and no one pick him up.

3.) 04 Jan 2018 16:03:44
I don’t think hawks do that. Pokka was on waivers, but it wasn’t to get rid of him, it was that he didn’t crack the top 6 and they were trying to sneak him through to the minors like lots of teams do in the last day or 2 of September. But also hawks only jumped over Avs to get out of the central basement last night. Giving up a first, second and third might not be smart for a guy like patches at this point. Could be different come deadline tho.

Don't see them trading Hoffman. He is like one of the three players that Ottawa should keep.

Why would Vegas do that trade?
Colin Miller has worked out fine for them and even exceeded expectations. Also, they don't need to make any trades because as of right now, they're on top of the western conference.

Why would the Penguins do that?
Guentzel has much more value than Brassard simply because he's younger and won't really affect their cap.

Eh, we've seen teams pay more for a pending UFA just to upgrade their team going into the playoffs.

Why does Winnipeg need another defender?

Vancouver doesn't do this.
No reason for them to trade for a player with a heavy contract.

Gubdranson's game is where it's at. Don't see it getting much better as he pretty much developed.

And eh. maybe. Brown should be a good addition to them since they lack on good forwards. No need for them to get Pickard though.

Maybe remove Pickard and upgrade that 3rd to a 2nd?
