People need to stop overrating Huberdeau, the guy is a borderline bust.

hes 21 and has yet to take a step forward in his development. 9 goals this year in 56 games. since when is that good??

The 2011 draft was full of AVERAGE players in the top 10.

Strome (who is a bust)
Larrsson (who is a bust)
Landiskog (not even a top 4 forward on colarado)
Zibinijad (average 2nd line center at best)

The only 2 good prospects Florida has are Ekblad and Barkov.

Stop the madness with the Huberdeau for kessel trades, Its not happening. Leafs are better off holding onto kessel, than trading him for a guy who has the ceiling of a Sam Gagner.

Kessel and Phaneuf trades won't happen until the draft. Period the end.

First off there wasn't a player yet who was a bust at 21 years old.second if the leafs did make this trade which I don't think they will cause florida won't trade huberdeau.they save enough cap to possibly sign another player who would help fill the void left by kessel.but I do agree a kessel trade shouldn't happen until the offseason

As hab said, players can't really be busts that soon.

1. Landeskog isn't meant to produce 80-100 points a year. Maybe 60-70 while he brings great leadership and good physical two-way-play. Just as Bergeron. Not saying he's as good as him obviously, but Bergeron is considered elite, too, despite not posting elite scoring numbers.
2. Strome a bust? He's actually having a pretty good first (full) season for the Islanders. 38 pts in 56 games in a limited role. Not too bad I'd say.
3. As for Larsson, defenseman often need more time to develop. Just look at Hedman. He was drafted in 09 and didn't become an elite defenseman until last/this season. That's just normal.
4. And well, Zibanejad. What do you expect? Not every player can turn into a star. Getting a 2nd line center 6th overall isn't the worst deal.

How can you call a 21 year old a bust? All these guys good still end up being great players. Wait a solid 5 years then comment if they're a bust or not

Kessel had 36 goals as a 21 year old (didn't even play a full season). Huberdeau has 9 this year.

Someone please explain to me why he is so good?

I just want 1 example of how he is an A+ prospect?

Kessel is an all star, Huberdeau is not even close.

Players who produce like kessel are scoring more than 9 goals when they are 21 years old.

Stop overrating this guy and Florida's prospects in general. FLA has no one Toronto wants (Unless they want to pull a garth snow and trade Ekblad).

At present time zibanejad is a second line centre with good size. He's 21 years old and you don't think he will continue to grow as he's been showing?
Can't call a guy a bust 2-4 years after their draft

I agree and disagree with you mate. I agree the leafs should hold on to Kessel try to get his value up because he will go to Florida and score 40 goals next year and toronto gets scooped. Plus he's just having a bad year like a lot of pros do 1 bad season out of how many? I disagree about huber, yes he's not having the greatest year and hasn't blown up yet but he's only 21 wait till 24/25 IMO if Florida wants Kessel the only fair way would be at least 1 of Ekblad, Barkov, Huberdeau

Im not sure what is you're def of bust? Cause those players are pretty good and would welcome any of those so call bust in a hab uniform! But talent for talent I think that huberdeau won't be has good has strome and other but no bust!

So by your Logic: Drouin is a bust, galchenyuk also? because they don't score 30 at there first year! Look at seguin first year there your answer

^ huberdeau is older that all of those guys you have mentioned, and they are all further in development.

So by my logic NO Drouin, galchenyuk, seguin are not busts at all.

Huberdeau has been in the league for too long and done too little to be calling him a good asset.
