As a life long wings fan (a short 20 years) I grew up with dats and Z. and i'd hate to see them leave. I think (and hope) they'll be career long wings. Could any of you see them leaving? and if so what could they garner?

Probably a little more than the Sedins. Zetterberg is a couple years younger and has leadership qualities, but he's not much of a scorer as Dats is.

Basically, Avs fans will be wondering the same thing when Landeskog and Duchene are in their mid-30s.

@benn14 I say Z. Yeah, he's not much of a scorer, but he's a leader and those are hard to find. Also, Datsyuk is older and more likely to retire. Long-term (if you can call it that), Z brings in a better haul.

But he'll be a lifetime Wing, as will Datsyuk. The hockey world would drop its collective jaw if one of those two were traded. Same deal with the Sedins.
