Calgary shake up.

Calgary: Frolik ( 4.3 mil for 1 year ), Oliver Klyington LHD and 1st 2020

New Jersey: Kyle Pamilari 1 mil retained ( 3.6 mil for 2 seasons )

Calgary- Gets a top line RW goal scorer signed cheap for 2 seasons while gaining cap space.

New Jersey- Gets a pick for rebuild and a solid LHD prospect who can step right in.

None of those guys going to Jersey helps them in any way. Palmieri is top line player and second to Hall in points in the team. They aren’t going to lose him for futures with no guarantee and a cap dump.

Would rather let Frolik walk than giving up Kylington and a 1st

You’re not giving the 1st and Kylington to dump Frolik you’re giving it acquire a top line RW which Calgary is evidently lacking. Also why wouldn’t they trade Pamaleri for futures they’re a bottom 5 team in NHL.

Because they want to compete now. That was the whole point in signing Simmonds and bringing in Subban. They think they are done rebuilding.

Hall, Zajac, Simmonds, Greene, Vatanen, and Subban are the players going to get traded before they consider trading Palmieri.

Too bad jersey didn't pick up a decent goalie in the off season, I really do think a good goalie can mask problems and speed up a rebuild.

Calgary adds unprotected first for Frolik the minus machine detriment.

Top line RW? I thought that's what Lindholm is for?

He’s playing C a lot this season. ( Lindholm ) also I’m sure Ottawa wants to compete now but it’s just not going to happen.
