Explain to me how that's a bad trade? 6.4" RHD who gets 40+ points. He would be the best defensemen on the Leafs especially if paired with Reilly. Then he might be the best defensemen in the division. Plus u get McCabe who would bump Muzzin to third pair.

Did someone really just say Risto would be the best D man in a division with Rielly Webber Hedman McDonagh McAvoy Chara and Ekblad? Risto is top pair offensively and 3rd pair defensively, playing him with a solid stay at home defender could better utilize his strengths and cover his weaknesses but doesn’t make him a better player, it would just make it a better pair.
