vegas is over the cap and they haven't even re-signed karlsson, gusev, etc

one would think ottawa is the obvious pick given their exorbitant cap room but the clarkson deal isn't especially front loaded so there's still ~3.5M of actual money they'd have to pay and you have to think ottawa might think against that. the rangers have lots of money and they too are rebuilding so why not get some value out of it by having 5 picks in the first two rounds

also eakin would make a good rental as this is the final year of his contract.
