Kadri
Marleau

Cap difference is close but Backlund and Neal are signed longer. I look at this as a starting point to something bigger, what does everyone think each Team adds to make a deal happen, can see Calgary wanting Kadri but I think Marleau has a NTC not sure, if so he would have to waive it, Backlund is better suited as a 3rd line Centre and Neal gives them LWing grit.

Thoughts ?

toronto probably needs to add. Backlund isn't that much worse than Kadri and Marleau is washed compared to Neal, who probably just had an off year.

I think backlund is better then kadri but he's a little older but considering marleau only has 1 year remaining he should have way more value then Neal at this point. if I was the GM of the leafs I would love the thought of ridding myself of Kadri but if I'm taking back Neal and his contract I would want more then just backlund.

Backlund and Kadri are close, I’d think Backlund is a better defensive guy tho, so I’d give edge to Backlund.

But I’d much rather 1year of Marleau than 4 of Neal. I’d say no from Toronto.

Backlund is a great shut down forward, as a flames fan I would much rather backs than kadri.

Again Mr Vbbb makes such funny jokes. But why does Backlund have such negative value? I do not think this is true. Leafs would not make this trade. Marleau has NMC.

I have heard weather it's BS or not Calgary is trying to rid themselves of Neal, so when you look at from that stand point having Marleau around for one year makes sense then having Neal's contract I would think.
