Karlsson to NJ as a FA? Wouldn't that be an amazing fit? The team has a solid foundation a top end forward group. They are missing a solid defence but Karlsson brings that.

What do you mean last season they made the playoffs and put up a fight with a healthy Hall they are a playoff contender. With Hall, Hughes, Karlsson And a potential break out season from Hischer they have potential to go deep.

They are not contenders lol at all. They should make playoffs with a healthy team and a couple new better dman (you could include Karlsson sure) but they are going to get dumped in playoffs just like they did when they made it. Maybe in 3 years they’ll be legit cup contenders but they are not there yet.

My idea of a better team for Karlsson? I think Carolina would be a good fit. They can trade off some dmen they already have for some quality forwards and they certainly have the cap space to add Karlsson. They are better than the devils now and are on the right track.

I’m not saying NJ is a bad place I just don’t think it’s a perfect fit.

I was thinking florida as a potential spot or even rangers could be nice. If rangers added panarin as well as karlsson they have many young players and kaapo who will join after the draft. If they get adam fox from carolina thatll also enhance their team as well. They also clearly did better this year than new jersey as well although hall was gone for a big chunk yes, but one player can't win you a bunch of games alone. i think rangers could potentially be good really quick.

Perfect fit is Florida, dump a little more space and sign Panarin and Karlsson. I don't know of they go after Bob if Luongo is still on the books.

I do agree Karlsson changes NJ from playoff hopeful to challenger though.

Because of the depth of Carolina I discluded them. Rangers are much worse then devils especially with a healthy Hall. Florida is thought to be signing bob and Paniran. Philly could be a good fit.
