adding kesler works because carolina has room, but that devalues silfverberg enough from his already low value as a pending UFA down to a handful of picks. Anaheim gets a huge weight off their back and Carolina gets a rental for their now very likely playoff matchup.

1) i don't think they are trading silfverberg, pretty sure they are trying to sign an extension
2) is it really worth giving up one of your top players to get rid of a bad contract?

Pretty positive ducks would like to extend Silfverberg so no go. However if they could move kesler then why not, itll free up lots of cap but could be tough moving him.

Keer is too old and costs too much. Silfverberg isn’t worth taking on that boat anchor contract.
