If anyone gives up that much for a rental then they are doomed for failure.

I think giving Fiala is a non starter. Fabbro and 1st is fair imo maybe Tolvanen over Fabbro if they’re lucky. Most likely I think it’d be two decent prospects and a 1st.

If anything i think Preds would be more comfortable giving up a dman prospect as they already have the best top 4 in the league, but to give up for a rental would be tough. But agree with vb i don't think preds will want to give up a roster player.

Fiala and Fabbro were both 1st round picks. So, three first round picks, one of which is already playing NHL and scoring over 20 goals a year, for a rental? In comparison, Kessel, O’Rielly, Schenn, all went for a couple 1sts, and all had term left on their contracts. Massive overpayment for panarin.

Guys, at this time that is the prize. a Young nhl player, an A prospect and a 1st round pick

I hesitate between tolvanen and fabbro for the prospect.
If you think you can do better

go ahead ;)

if NSH can have Panarin for Fabbro (or tolvanen) and a 1st pick only and keep Fiala, good for NSH. But What i said, at this time, it is the prize for a star like panarin even it is for rental.

That might be the asking price. They can ask for all they want. What they ask and what they get are two different creatures all together.

I have yet to see a rental go for that much.

Zamboni, a rentals often go for that much as long as the team thinks they can resign them, Ryan Hartman got a 1st last year, players like panarin are top, if you want him, you have to pay just like another team that is pretty sure they can resign him, don't pay less because your team thinks of him as a rental.

Shoots i'm pretty sure zamboni is just stating that just because a team wants ______ as a return for a player does not mean they will get exactly what they ask for. Yes Panarin i'm positive (if traded) will net a bigger return than Hartman, but zamboni was saying they may not get the perfect return for him considering the high possibility Panarin doesn't reisgn with whatever team trades for him given the many reports of his perferred spots and he already went public and said he will test free agency. So i can for sure see the price to get him not super high as there are teams who might not think their package for Panarin will be worth it for a couple months of his services.

Columbus can ask for McDavid and Presidancy of India for Paniran it dosent mean they’ll get it. I’d take a younger cheaper more term controlled Fiala over Paniran straight up.

Nash- Eli Tolvanen And conditional 1st* ( if the Preds don’t make the conference finals become a 2nd 2019 )

Columbus- Paniran

It’s only a half of a season for Paniran. Eric Staal is the most comparable return.
