I assume that you are trying to say Montreal should send a young player stuck in the ahl in exchange for that. Honestly don’t think it would be worth it. Better to save the cap for any future signings since Montreal is doing well enough that they aren’t selling older assets.

no that's not at all what i'm saying, this is literally the second identical trade in a row where he has montreal taking a bag contract but doesn't say what they give in return.

Yeah. I meant like the poster was trying to say we should do that when he says (armia type trade) . Either way you look at it. Doesn’t work for the habs.

Notdelusional is right. A trade involves two teams exchanging players. No Montreal player is listed here. Maybe Jayne just expects us to use our imagination to fill in the returning player?

You guys are painfully unintelligent he’s obviously referring to Future Considerations. You don’t always need to send a player back in a trade. This is a big no from Montreal Lucic is just way to bad.

Maybe i was taking it too literal. i actually thought he was saying it would cost Pul to balance out the bad contract of Lucic. Habs trade future considerations and take on the bad contract of Lucic at the cost of getting Pul. Just my interpretation of it.

Future considerations leaves a pretty wide interpretation. He’s leaving it up to the reader to fill in the blanks. Like ThunderTurkey, I thought Pool was the payment for Habs to take on Lucic boat anchor contract.

It's not really an armia style trade in that trade montreal traded a player who was not good enough to play in the Ahl for 2 picks a player they knew would fit somewhere in their lineup and a cap dump on a not so bad deal that was easily bought out.

I’ll say that the Drouin/ Sergachev deal that Montreal fans got bashed for when it happened, looks like a steal for Montreal. Unless I’m missing something, Sergachev seems pretty average at best.
