Wings: Frk

Oilers have too many defenseman, detroit could have better use with the younger rhd as I believe he has fallen out of favour in Edmonton. Oilers get struggling winger who could fit well with that laser of a shot. Both teams add something they need imo and oilers shed some cap.

wish i knew more about frk, but he does have only 1 goal in 23 games so i'm sure he'd fit in with the oilers haha but in all honestly sure why not low key can potentially help out each team with their weaknesses.

Do either team really get what they need? If Oiler’s want cap relief, I think they would be better off trading one of their aging high priced defensemen like Russell rather than a depth low cost guy like Benning. And does Detroit really want Benning coming in return? Not much to get excited about and a $2M cap hit for a rebuilding team that is tight to the cap. I’m not sure that’s a formula for success.

I guess if you believe in the old saying that the team that gets the best player wins the trade then Detroit is the winner here.
