Oilers are doing fine now, but they need to score more. They need to get rid of lucic’s contract. It’s a waste of space.

Oilers: Lucic + Puljujarvi + 1st rd pk 2019 + 2nd rd pk 2020 + B Prospect

Sens: Duchene + Stone (Both UFAs and probably won’t sign with the Sens. Oilers sign them to 7 m over 6 yrs.

Can Oiler’s even afford to do this? Incoming salary is significantly higher than outgoing, and Oilers are pretty tight against the cap right now.

Keeps chemistry with players involved plus gives value to get value

Ottawa gets the defence needed, plus a new top center, and a few picks to fall back on, it also keeps the rebuild going.

Edmonton gets 2 of the best 2 way forwards in the game plus in dzingle they get a speedy forward to pair with McDavid and if that don't work he still has chemistry with stone and Duchene to fall back on, Edmonton also gets a top 4 dman back.

Why would anybody deal with the oilers. They won't be able to sign everyone. The have a serious problem with Mcdavid and he's going to want more.
