Straight up trade

CGY: Bennett
WPG: Perreault

Flames get a player that can play on any line or in any role. Jets get a player that bring a little grit that they're lacking up front.

I can't see any reason for either team to do this. Perreault is too important to the Jets bottom 6.

Lol no from Calgary.

C’mon Joe. Bennett can do everything Perrault can do and more. He hits, fights and is 8 years younger. One guy just happens to play for the Winnipeg Untouchables.

Lol. Calgary def values Bennet more.

No from jets? Lol.

Leafs17, right Bennett is pretty good and Calgary would want more, but for the Jets, Bennett isn't good enough to warrant the extra pieces Calgary would want.

So, unless Calgary would take Perreault and a couple throw away prospects for Bennett, it isn't worth trying to get him.

That’s not what you said Joe. You said Perrault is too important to the jets bottom 6. Your new reasoning makes sense but one for one the jets would be stupid to not take that.

Leafs17, yes there is that too. Perreault is who Maurice uses to get players going. So, even though Bennett is a good player, he's not worth rocking the boat. Good teams don't make trades just for the sake of making a trade. Bennett isn't enough of a difference maker to risk upsetting the team chemistry over.
