He reports that Los Angeles is willing to part with both Muzzin and Pearson++ for Nylander. If so, if I’m Toronto, I’d jump on that:

Toronto Trades: William Nylander (RW - RFA) + Martin Marincin (LD - 0.875 Million x 1 Year) .
Los Angeles Trades: Jake Muzzin (LD - 4.0 Million x 2 Years) + Tanner Pearson (LW - 3.75 Million x 3 Years) + Alex Iafallo (0.925 Million x 1 Year)

Healthy Toronto Lineup:
Pearson - Matthews - Kapanen
Hyman - Tavares - Marner
Marleau - Kadri - Iafallo
Johnsson - Lindholm - Brown

Rielly - Muzzin
Gardiner - Zaitsev
Dermott - Hainsey.

I read on hockey news Instagram page that they say Pagnotta says "LAK are willing to give up Both Muzzin and Pesrson (no mention of a ++) and that the Hurricanes are willing to part with Pesce that the Leafs have interest in. Leafs have even talked to Nylanders camp about an extension in Carolina"

The panel guys on CBC HNIC, I think it was Friedman said that the Hurricanes are "all in" for Nylander if the Leafs decide it comes to that.

I would take Muzzin and Pearson for sure I think.

Not the actual ++ @yup, but he said with other pieces moving around as well. If Toronto was willing to bite on Muzzin/ Pearson alone, it wouldve been done by mow for sure. If Iafallo comes as that other piece, i think Toronto would bite.

It would be a slam dunk win for Toronto if Muzzin was right handed. Would be a great partner for Reilly. And to get a really good replacement winger in Pearson too?!

Ive seen Muzzin play RHD before. Maybe can be like Hainsey, LHD with ability to play RH. Maybe. Cause pearsons playin real poor in LA atm. CHANge of scenery coukd be nice,

Any team seeking to get nylander off the lead hands are fools. Toronto should be seeking out trade destinations for that sad sap. The way he is negotiating with such a hard line. definatly all about himself and not a team player.

Pearson is very good player. Would love to have him on the team. Muzzin is a two year rental. Could make a good placeholder for a ywar after Gardiner leaves to give Sandin and Dermott more time t develop before being pushed into a bugger role on the team. We could use a couple players with Stanley Cup pedigree on the team. A couple proven winners would be more than welcome addition.
