Try again. If you already get Pesce, no way CAR adds Ferland and a 2nd.
Zaitsev has the much worse contract compared to Gudbrandson (especially with the retention), so why does VAN add a pick?
Try make it useful for BOTH teams, not just the Leafs ;-)

I think at this point. Pesce is about all nylander would garner. He wants 8mil a year and has sat out 4 weeks during this first part of the season. I think this only hurts his value.

I agree, Nylander used to be able to get you Parayko and a second round pick, now he can barely get you Pesce, he has definetly dropped in value and with Matthews hurt I smeel a bit of an overpayment coming, I don’t think he will have much trade value after that.

I think at this stage. Ya need to trade Nylander. Maybe set an example for the other up coming FA. Mathews and Marner. have to stay firm. As much as I like Nylander . If he signs for 8 ., then now Marner is going to want more? Or maybe the same. Mathews will want McDavid money. so your going to have around 37 38 mill in 4 guys.

How exactly has his trade value dropped? He still is the same player that got two 60 plus point seasons as a 20-21 year old. The leafs no this as well as all the other clubs. Also, the Matthews situation will not change a thing in regards to Nylander. You don't change your long term plan over a short term fix.
