Bobby Ryan playing with Taylor Hall might make his cap hit seem a lot less bad, which it already wouldn't be for a team with as much room as the Devils. Severson is cost controlled for a long time and has somewhat proven himself to be dependable, and although he is prone to mistakes, Ottawa would be wise to stock up on players with his pedigree. Lajoie will more or less fill the hole he leaves on the power play, and may develop into one of the Devils cornerstone defensemen if his early play is indicative of his actual skill set.

Perhaps one team includes a pick or some asset.

Severson is better then Lajoie because he is prove to be a top 4 RHD. Lajoie has been doing well this year but I don't trade for a guy because of a 10 game sample lol.
