Mtl: Brodin, Parise

Min: Patches, 2rd 2018

That is only if Patches agreed to extension of 6 million for 8 years. Mtl takes a bad contract and actually gives a not terrible one when u think about it because JVR got 7 million but yes it was for 5 years. Pacioretty gets more long term security at a still good salary imo for both sides. That is only if Patches starts the season old and values goes up. But if so is this good???

You say Brodin > Patch but the whole point of it is for minny to shed some cap.

How is Brodin better than Pacioretty?

I know Brodin is worth more then Patches by a big amount since he's 4 years younger, signed for another 3 years at 4.1 million not UFA and D>wingers. That's why mtl takes on a bad contract straight up and throws in a second pick. Taking 8 million for another 6 years and only getting in average probably 35-40 points per season is very valuable imo for mynny. Anyways I think is fair for both teams and I apreaciate the comments even KeyHabs ahah.

Praise dosnt bring down Brodin as much as ure making it sounds Vb. Yes he's way overpaid for another 6 years but he is still a good secondary scorer on any team in the nhl. He would still be a top 6 player in mtl wich is why I still think my l needs to add to Patches to get him and Brodin. I don't thknk they have to add a warm and a leg but a second is a god price imo.

If anyone declines it Montreal Parise is a definition of an Anchor all tho I still like him as a player.

Colt, you can be 100% right that Parise is still a decent player and can chip in for secendary scoring. And yet VBB is also 100% right that he’s an anchor of a contract. He’s 34, owed $7.5mill till he’s 40. That’s a brutal deal right now.

He’s owed the same cap hit, till about the same age as Weber. A lot of people think Weber’s deal is an anchor to his value. However Weber is still (when healthy) a very very good top pair Dman on almost any team. Parise isn’t a top line player on any team I can think of right now. That’s the difference.

I think you'd need to add more to take Parise, up there with the most regrettable contracts in the league.

if everyone’s trades are so bad why don’t you post a trade him? You are so easy to criticize but you don’t back it up. Be a man make a reasonable Toronto trade.
