one would think ottawa would want more for karl, but i like that deal in a way.
montreal takes that and gets their number 1c.
seems like sacrificing offense for defense tampa wise, but still a dangerous line up. would that work salary cap wise? also i would have sergachev in top 4 over girardi at this point.

Reports were Tampa was unwilling to add Foot in any deal for Karlsson at the Deadline that’s why they went after McDonagh maybe that’s changed but idk.

I think that it was because it was during the middle of a season and they didn't want to lose a lot of pieces. Since its now the Offseason I think TBL will be able to let go of certain players that were untouchable during the trade deadline.
