Yes, I know that the Oilers and Flames making a trade is extremely unlikely.

Calgary is rumoured to want to get back in the first round

Edmonton needs a PP QB, TJ Brodie is a good one. Although his points have been decreasing for several years now.

The Oilers' AHL club is rebuilding and could use some fresh young talent. Gawdin is ready to take that step, as he scored 125 points in the WHL this year as a 21 year old.

With Dougie Hamilton, Mark Giordano, Travis Hamonic and Ramus Andersson the Flames should be fine on defence without Brodie.

Is Brodie right handed?
You know the Oilers have Nurse, Klefbom, Russell, Sekera who are left handed. Why add another without one going out?
