With a new GM it seems like Carolina is going to make some moves and Faulk could be had he'd be a great fit on the oilers top pp

Option 1

Edmonton: Jesse Puljujarvi and Tyler Benson

Carolina: Justin Faulk

Edmonton: gets a dynamic presence on the top PP and could potentially thrive sheltered under a defensive minded Larsson paired with Nurse or Reunite him with Sekera.

Carolina: while i don't like to use the term bust it does not look like Jesse Puljujarvi will reach his potential of being a game changer like Blake Wheeler. He could still be a very effective top 6 player and has a small chance of blowing up with Aho with prior chemistry.

Option 2

Edmonton: Milan Lucic*, Jesse Puljujarvi and 10th overall

Carolina: Justin Faulk, Justin Willams and 42nd overall

* hopefully Lucic will waive his MNTC if he feels unwanted in Edmonton

Edmonton: rids then selves of a useless atrocious contract while getting a top 4 dman and a great presance in Williams who is a veteran Guznetzel in the playoffs.

Carolina: can afford to take back a bad contract and by doing this they get two very good pieces for their rebuild.

Jesus. With how much you talk down Faulk in surprised you think the Oilers should trade Puljujarvi for him.

Benson won’t be included.
Second one obvious no from Oilers jeez.

Lucic won't waive to go to Carolina.
You would have better chances asking Sekera to waive to go to Carolina where he has played before if you want to add a cap dump from Edm.
But I actually believe both Lucic and Sekera will be an Oiler opening night next season. Lucic for sure anyways.

@Yup Faulk is still a great top PP dman but besides that he’s subpar at best. Also I’m not sure what makes you think he won’t waive but I’ll respect it.

@McJesus I believe you underrate the negative value Lucic holds and on top of that they’re getting 3 good pieces I’d make that trade from the oilers POV. They could add a good peice from FA on top of that package.
