How can it be horrible for oilers? They get a RH D that they are looking for? They get tavares that's better than drai, and svechnikov which make it possiple to package JP or yamamoto with sekera for a Cheaper/ younger LHD.

Tavares is not a trade. It’s a signing as you mentioned.

Yeah. It’s a no from the oilers. But agree with Redwing, draisatl doesn’t get you a legit #1 Dman. Maybe an aging one, but not one young enough to justify trading draisatl for.

Not trading drai for faulk? Its capdump to get tavares which is much better, drai is included because he is not worth the 8,5 and getting svechnikov which would do more good with mcdavid than drai when you got tavares?

Tavares is also 6 years older and will cost a lot more. The whole trade someone and sign someone else ideology doesn’t work. Lol Oil fans know this best. Yes Tavares is a million times better than Lucic but still. The Oil could just simply give up the 10th and Klefbom to land a really good d man. Maybe an up and coming potential number 1? Do you think Lucic and the 10th would be closer for Faulk and a bad contract (Williams)?

This proposed trade is just so delusional all around. That many big pieces will just simply never all be moved in the same transaction.
