Nylander, Liljegren, Bracco or Timashov and a 1st

For Doughty who immediately gets signed to an extension.

My personal belief is Nylander is real good but not quite what Marner or Matthews are. LA gets a lot of youth for someone who may not resign at the end of next year.

This is conditional on Doughty signing the extention

And what would you want the signing to be? Term and $.

I’d rather have Nylander over Marner imo.

McJesus I've read that there's some in Toronto that think Marner is very close to Mathews in value. They share the same agent apperently and I've read their camp thinks Marner is within $2M from Mathews. Like is Mathews gets $11M then Marner is at least $9M.

I'm curious what this original poster thinks Doughty should be signed for term and $ from Toronto tho.

I’d take Marner over Nylander. He looks real good for a 4th liner.

Yah I think Marner is very close to Mathews value wise but Nylander is much less valuable.

Damn that’s crazy if they are that close in value and especially if you think 2 mil away in potentially salary. I just prefer Nylander because of that wicked shot but pretty close imo for value between the two of them. Just if I had to pick one I’d stick with Nylander.

I’ve watched every game that the 3 of them Have played, like most leaf fans on here probably have. I see Matthews far above the others. Used to value marner and Nylander very closely but I think marner has shown he’s a lot more versatile and has the ability to create plays from the wing like usually you expect from a centre and is one of the most competitive players going, backchecks and plays pretty good defensively. Nylander can protect the puck really well, obviously has a wicked release and can beat unscreened goalies with a wrist shot from 40+ feet which not many guys do anymore, but can get lost in big games and needs to be reminded once in a while to compete harder. The puck follows him round and he will get 10 chances some games, but if it’s not coming easy one night, he doesn’t seem as willing to work to change things as marner. I value Mitch higher for sure.

Marner > Nylander.

I would take doughty at 7 or 8 years and 9-10 million. I would also front load the contract so the last couple years he wouldn't be as hard to move if needed.

I didn't say I think they are $2M away from each other. I said o read that their camp and the organization might think that.

Just saying that because I believe they all value Marner more than Nylander at this point. Fans including.
Which was my original point to this post.

are you saying 3 of those pieces and a 1st or one of those and a first?

One of those and a 1st doesn't get a signed Drew Doughty. Its 3 and the 1st.
