The value may be there, I just don’t like giving up 3 first rounders. Nylander is already proven and Leivo might be ok if given a chance.

It may be fair value, but i'm simply not giving up Nylander for a guy who may walk after 1.5 seasons. Same reasons Tampa wouldn't give up Point. It may be fair, I just wouldn't do it. Rather hold onto the big three and make minor moves/ signings in the offseason.

Toronto has just spent the past 2 decades in hell, trading away their farm and high draft picks only to be left on the sidelines of mediocrity and garbage hockey teams. We have now crawled out of hell and have an incredible young core and excellent prospects in the making with top tier management. Why the hell would Toronto start doing the opposite of what they’ve just spent 4 years fixing?

Big Karlsson fan and like said above, value is there, but I don’t think he’s the D we need. He makes any team he goes to far better without a doubt, but I’d rather go for doughty or a little cheaper, more stable type. Don’t want to lose nylander and if we were bringing in Karlsson, I’d want liljegren to follow him, train how he trains, eat how he eats, do the drills he does but without nylander/ marner and liljegren, sens don’t even talk to leafs.

Karlsson is not the same player anymore. He is just a mediocre dman now. Whatever the injury was and the procedure to fix it, it has left him as a shell of his former self. I would not pay anything to acquire him.
