Imo, no from Carolina because didn't Skinner get 70 points like a year or two ago? he's their most lethal offence, they won't trade him for offence. kinda lateral in that case. theyd trade any one of their dmen before Skinner imo.

Canes add.

My bad, it wasnt 70 points, it was 37 goals and 63 points. Still, that goal total is elite, and I just can't see him being given up.

Canes add lol of course they do right FT4A? Because RNH is worth Karlsson, and Jeff skinner isn’t as good as Erik Karlsson.

Colt65,
RNH is no improvement over Lindholm? Look at the stats and numbers. RNH is an upgrade! Plus, is Lindholm even playing centre at all? RNH is a good two way centre. Now when it come to points:
Lindholm: in 349 games - 176 points (0.5)
Skinner: in 554 games - 365 points (0.66)
RNH: in 441 game - 296 points (0.67)

Now, I do believe the canes need a centreman and RNH can be that #2 after Stall. Skinner would be a great fit on McDavid’s line.

I don’t know if it is the perfect trade, but you can’t say is so off.

Yup Skinner is a great goal scorer, reason I put it up is Nuge actually has better points per game this year and well he’s a centerman and canes for sure need a centerman. And i'd obviously love to get Faulk for Nuge like iv said before that would be unreal. But yeah could be tough for canes to pull trigger on skinner especially.

No Edmonton adds It’s not even close.

Unbiased, madeindade
Sorry, Carolina has to add Because:

1. Hopkins is a center which adds more value.
2. He's way more defensively responsible,

BUT most importantly.

3. Skinner has only 1 year of contract left thus putting him into a short term rental situation. Slightly more than a 2nd round pick is the going rate for a UFA.

Rental players for the franchises most consistent player who's signed for a longer term is a poor trade no matter who it is.
So sorry, As much as you want to believe Edm adds. It's the Canes that are required to add to make this a go.

Perhaps Canes can resign him to make the terms equal out, then the trade would have a little more realistic chance of happening.

As it sits, the trade is a no from Edmonton's stand point.
