This might be something that might work for both teams. Oilers need scoring wingers and Habs need a centreman.
Oilers: RNH
Habs: Drouin.

lol no chance mtl does this. Not because it's JT equal value but they love their French Canadian players and drouin prob has a no movement clause.

Don’t see them moving on from drouin so fast. Looks like they gave up a really good player for him, and admitting it was a mistake so quickly is tough to sell to fans and ownership.
I think they want a good young centre who can develop alongside drouin, not replace him.

zero chance habs even consider this.

Habby, zero chance? Really? They won’t even consider it for a moment? Come on!

8.) 08 Feb 2018
08 Feb 2018 16:19:38
They won't do this. It's interesting forsure. but I can't see Bergevin trading his big accusition of last Summer. after 3/ 4 of a season.

9.) 08 Feb 2018
08 Feb 2018 17:13:46
Zero chance. at 22yrs old drouin is the guy they’ll build around.

10.) 08 Feb 2018

0 Chance on this trade as it sits.
Significant add by Montreal would be required to get RNH out of Edmonton.

Drouin has been a bit of an unimpactful dud, so for the Habs to offload him and get RNH back it would likely take something like Byron, The top defensive prospect in the system, and likely an unconditional 1st otherwise I don't see Edmonton even considering the trade.

Lets be real now. i don't even know how to respond to that. can someone help me please, i'm speechless.

You can change your name but not not the fact that a significant add is needed to acquire any Oiler FT4A. You think Strome for Drouin is better?

13.) 08 Feb 2018
08 Feb 2018 20:29:03
There is not a plauer in this edm team I would trade for Drouin (Exept aconnor or Leon)
Drouin has had a bad season but he is one of the most talented players in the NHL
He is 22 and don’t forget he’s still learning a new position
.
Jesus Christ oilers fans.

14.) 08 Feb 2018
08 Feb 2018 20:29:30
You’d really think the oilers would be better with the way you value their players FT4A? Who do you suppose Hopkins could fetch? Would Tarasenko work? Talk about delusional.

15.) 08 Feb 2018

Keeping it real here.
Significant add by the Oilers if it's Strome for Drouin.

Hopkins is a key member of the Oilers playing hard minutes in all situations and is defensively sound. Drouin is very inconsistent and occasionally shows offensive flashes of brilliance, but that's it. The Hab fans are running him out of town for his lack of production.
Both Strome and Drouin were massive organizational mistakes by their respective GM's.

Saying Hopkins for Drouin is an even trade is not reasonable, it's a wish by habs fans to rid themselves of a mistake for a better all around player at Edmonton's expense.

Just remember that drouin was drafted just a cpl picks behind mackinnon. Mackinnon has the advantage of being on a poor team for 4 of his 5 seasons meaning he got to play in good situations and has lots of opportunity to develop while being one of the go to guys. And it’s taken till the last 35-40 games for everyone to see just how good he really is.

Drouin was picked by Tampa who was stacked up front and so his development took a bit of a hit. Not saying he will ever be the dominant franchise type player mackinnon should be, but at 22 he still has a ton of time and a ton of skill to be a much more productive version of himself.

He wouldn’t be the guy I would choose to build around but could be a really good player if they find that stud to play with him.

17.) 09 Feb 2018
08 Feb 2018 22:39:13
I’d love Drouin because he’d be nasty beside McDavid. But the centre that puts up similar numbers and has a strong defensive game probably has higher value.

18.) 09 Feb 2018
08 Feb 2018 22:42:51
I personally think the oilers would add a bit. Drouin is younger, and if he hits his ceiling he’ll be a better player than Nuge. Nuge isn’t the center Montreal needs, Nuge is better suited as a #2 center. Montreal needs a #1 nothing less. I’d say that Nuge for patches and a 2nd would be more realistic patches would give them the scoring winger they need. Habs shouldn’t trade drouin if they’re thinking of doing some sort of rebuild.

Oh GAWD
. FT4A is Back?

20.) 09 Feb 2018
08 Feb 2018 22:56:33
Haha he’s 22 and learning a new position? If you’re in the nhl you shouldn’t need 50+ games to adjust to a new position give me a break. He’s having a horrible season. Not going to say my opinion on this trade but wow did not think Drouin was such a superstar lmao.

21.) 09 Feb 2018
09 Feb 2018 01:47:35
Yea it does take long to change position
Lmao thinking RNH is worth Drouin is an insult to habs fan and J. Drouin
Even Giroux couldn’t play center this season
Jesus Christ oilers fan you’re getting damn delusional.

22.) 09 Feb 2018
09 Feb 2018 03:18:43
Be bringing in slowly doesn't stunt your development, drouin had every opportunity to develop in the minors but instead threw a hissy fit. maybe tough on the ego but can be much better with much more ice time in the minors.

23.) 09 Feb 2018
09 Feb 2018 06:48:04
Unbiased Jim, for some arguments being on a bad team equals lower point totals and other arguments higher point totals because it’s easier to be the go to guy? We’re all guilty of that argument but can’t have it both ways.

24.) 09 Feb 2018
09 Feb 2018 11:14:29
There is no doubt Hopkins is a key member of the Oilers. This was posted by an oil fan and there are many people saying the value is not far off. Most people that disagree is because of the situation and that Montreal just traded a good player to get Drouin. Saying it is a wish by habs fans is not reasonable. It took a while for you to recover from the Strome trade eh? You took quite a break from this site, only to return with the same delusion of a team going for another top 5 pick.

25.) 10 Feb 2018
09 Feb 2018 22:36:36
Ebs, when did I try to say it both ways?
