Asking price is crazy high so possibly close in value. Think that is too much for 1.5 seasons of Karlsson as they won't be able to resign him. Maybe this time next season for the real rental price if he's still on Ottawa.

I don't think that's enough from Tampa. As a lightning fan i'd definitely do it although it would likely cause them to have to trade for a forward. If Yzerman wants to resign Karlsson he can would require some tweaking to the roster though. I've outlined before how tampa isn't as bad off capwise as youd expect.

Depends on whether OTT wants a roster player back. If so, Johnson or Killorn seem the most logic options and would lower the prospect/ pick price TB has to pay, esp if its Johnson.

Johnson, Foote, 1st seems like a fair price

without Johnson, how about: Foote, Raddysh, one of Cirelli/ Hajek/ Stephens and a 1st.

Not enough for EK you don't trade a generational talent for a small package like that.

Maybe EK lajoie and paul for point sergechevev and a couple 1sts

Ottawa gets a young dman to grow along side Chabot and hopefully dahlin in the lottery, a solid top 6 winger and a couple late first rounders to fall back on.

While Tampa lands a big body role player in Paul, a solid defence prospect in lajoie, and a generational talent that will give them the best defence pair in the league playing behind the top foward duo the league has to offer.

Imagine a Tampa power play featuring kucherov stamkos karlsson and hedman and who ever else they want to put with them that's insane.

Then ottawa can move Phaneuf too as their young defence core could grow together to eventually be the deadliest in the league (assuming the draft lottery goes their way), plus they'd have a ton of speed up front with Duchene point and Hoffman.
