OEL is better than Shatty and Yandle AND isn't just a UFA rental At least has one more full year left. That does add to a little value over just a 20 game + playoff rental.
He has a lot more value than Shatty and Yandle.

The leafs finally draft a RH defenseman in the 1st round, let’s wait and see. I have no idea how good this kid is but he was supposed to go in the top 5 and dropped after a season in which he battled mono and was traded I believe. OEL is a great defenseman but the leafs are 2-3 years away from being a contender and I’m hoping Liljegren will be a part of that.
