This has been posted many times in the past, and I also just said this in a comment, but with how both their seasons are going and both teams needs (remember the depth) wondering how people view this now.

Oil: Nuge
Canes: Faulk

Nuge playing how he should, Faulk having down year, fits both teams needs. Not too big of an issue for cap for canes and helps oilers out by 2mil.
Is the value closer now or does everyone think Faulk is still “too” valuable for Nuge?

Good trade. we've just seen it so many times on this site.

Like I said ya, but you think the value is closer now is what I’m asking? I obviously do think it is as that’s why I put it up again but ya just seeing how value is this year.
And I do personally think this could work.

The Hurricanes will have to offer up something else significant like an unconditional first to go along with Faulk and his paltry 14 points this year to attain RNH from Edmonton.

A deal that involves these 2 would need more pieces as Edm would have to move a Dman back in the deal.

If I was Edmonton I would never trade Faulk straight up for Hopkins. 2 way players like Hopkins are more rare than a Dman that can score once in a while and definitely more than a Dman that only has 14 points.

I'm not sure about this for Canes. I my Dubois trade proposal is closer tbh.

I think it's pretty fair McJesus. Be always thought Nuge gets under appreciated. Due to Dmen being ad valuable as Bitcoin, maybe a small add on by Oil. like a 4th. or B prospect. I still think in the proper setting, RNH can be a 65 to 70 pt Really good 2 way centerman. maybe 70 is a stretch. but I wouldn't be surprised.

No Buck. Your PLD to Montreal deal was not closer.

Nuge isn’t even on PP1 haha if he was I’d imagine he’d have more points rn as well.
But like I said I don’t know if edmonton would add anything tbh from comparing both their years.
But I do think this betters Edmonton as we finally get our PP QB who shoots right! And is a good puck moving dman in general. Also nice contract.

Actually Hopkins just started playing on PP1 a few games ago.

Not that being on the Oilers PP helps on points totals much right now tho. lol.
