Why as a Canes fan we need a number 1 center and RNH gives us that. Rask while I like him is not a number 1 but a number 3 and Hanifan is another Pitkenin all offense and no defense.

Haha tbh not sure why edmonton makes this. 0 need for another LHD even tho he’s obviously a good player. Rather have Mcdavid Drat Nuge down the middle. And oilers aren’t going to trade Strome unless it’s for another right hand shot they have no forwards who shoot right.
And I don’t think canes would laugh this fits their needs way more.

For Hanifan. you'd have to add. however I wouldn't do this at all. Nuge doesn't get the credit he deserves.

This year, Hanifin was the Cane to make the ASG, on a really good Cane defence. I would presume that he has the most value by that. And honestky, being real here, if Marner is the starting point for the Leafs to get Hanifin, Nuge is an undervalue. Cause Marner>Nuge.

RNH is not a number one center. He will never be a number one center except maybe one my hand by default lol. However is playing very well this year and I really do wish him the best since he's been struggling in the past and deserves to get past that.

Surprised how the agrees disagrees played out thought these would be opposite lol
But back to the trade this just literally doesn’t make Edmonton a better team. Add a player to the long list of LHD and lose a important center piece. If it was Nuge for Faulk straight across that fits Edmonton’s needs way way more. Actually a perfect fit Faulk would be on Edmonton.

Oilers need to keep Hopkins and find someone else to trade.
2 way players that young with contract term are worth a lot.

Yes he's a first line center IF his faceoff % gets better.

What I don't understand is why Canes fans don't like this trade. I've been a Canes fan since 2001 and to me this trade makes a lot of sense for both teams. We have a lot of young Defensemen and Hanifan IMO is far from the best of the young D men. RNH is a better Center than anything we have. Jordon Staal is not a number one and iMO RNH would fit well between our two young forwards.
