Montreal - Pacioretty

Calgary - Bennett

This was a rumour before. Up and coming center for a proven goal scorer. I wouldn't be surprised if Patches got over 30 this year and over 40 next year playing with Gaudreau and Monaha. Although Ferland looks like a nice fit on the top line

It's interesting . however, I don't think Patches would be in Flames king term plans, as he will probably want 7+ mil after this contract, and for the Habs, Bennett is risky . knowing the way the Habs have ran things, would probably give him a few games and put him in the wing. , then realize they don't have enough centers and resign Plekanec to 6 mill a year lol.
Is there a D prospect that could be added with Bennett?

Um I would not call Bennett an up and coming scorer lol don’t see why Montreal would ever consider this tbh they should want a way better offer imo.

Flames have tons of D prospects I could see maybe Kylington or Andersson going to Montreal, maybe even Fox.

Up and coming center was my words, not scorer. Address one need of the habs, flames could throw in a d prospect as well.

Sosa my thoughts on Jankowski are that’ll he’ll probably be the Flames 3rd line center for the future, provides good energy and some scoring but honestly I don’t see him being anything much more than that. I’d say you can count on him being a 30-40 Point scorer and good defensively.

I agree about Jankowski. Could even have a 50
Point season in him with the right line mates. I actually really like him. Should be a really good third line center.

That is a very high risk trade for Montreal. Bennett has ranged from bust to producer this year. It would probably need a high pick to accompany the trade, and the Flames don't have one of those this year.
