Toronto and Buffalo trade.

Toronto needs a big solid D man that can add points with a right hand shoot.

To Buffalo: Jake Gardiner

To Toronto: Zach Bogosian

That’s adding 1.2 million in cap for a year longer (Gardiner 4 mill thru 2018-19, Bogosian 5.2 mil thru 2019-20). Bogosian has been less than impressive, albeit on an awful team. I would not want his 5mill+ to overlap Matthews, nylander and marners next contracts because I think he’s overpaid at his best, and don’t think he’s been at his best for a long time. At least with Gardiner, we know what we have and after next season can decide if he’s worth resigning at the same money, or a slight raise, or let him walk if internal options (dermott, liljegren etc) have proven as top 4 players.

Bogasian is hurt as often as he plays.

Maybe

Buffalo: Bogsion and 1st 2018

Toronto:Lupul

Lupul can be placed on LTIR but Bogsion can’t. Both are equally worthless.

FYI i know buffalo wouldn’t make that trade.

What the F Nylander?

You want their 1st and a D man for Lupul? Marner is better than Mathews?

1st overall potentially to dump cap that's how those deals work. You are so out of touch nylander.

Ohh I’m also being 100% serious lol Dahlen and Bogsion for Lupul. I was just making a point Bogsion is terrible. He might get a 6th/ 7th. Obviously they wouldn’t give up a pick to get him especially not a generational talent. ( yes I believe he’ll surpass McDavid for the title he’s a future Nick Lindstrom. )

So Buffalo gives up a top 5 pick just to get rid of Bogosian?

Wow.
