Rittich doesn't seem that great.


Edmonton's PK sucks and Frolik is a PK specialist.

No from Calgary. They have no need for Brossoit and originally traded him to edmonton. They need RW's and frolik has good chem with backlund and tkachuk. So there are a lot of reasons why Calgary says no.

Flames say no. And Frolik is a good fit in Calgary.
$4.3M for two more years with a modified NTC.
Oilers should be trying to add a better winger in the off season anyways.

Rittich has posted much better numbers than Brossoit and you think a consistent 40 point scorer will get a trash backup and a second? You clearly have 0 hockey knowledge.

Hard to call a 23/ 24 year old goalie trash when most goalies don’t become good in the league until they are around 28+ .

Look around the league and see how many starters weren’t good before 28 years old. some take that long but saying most aren’t good till 28 is not true.

Price, rask, quick, Holtby, lundqvist, Schneider, luongo, vasilevsky, bobrovsky, Bishop, fleury, Murray, jones, Crawford and ward were all either really good or great before 25. A cpl others like Pekka rinne and freddy Andersen were 26 when they took over as good starters. Although Andersen held the record for fastest goalie in history to 50 wins before that. There’s a lot better chance both broissot and Rittich are are their best today than they will be stars. But always a chance for a late bloomer.

Well, EDM is going to have to place Brossoit on waivers when they send him down to get playing time. CGY can just claim him then.
And, Rittich has been good. He’s won his 1st 4 NHL starts. Maybe do a little research.
