@Mustafarr

Leafs fan, but don't understand the comment. Bozak is arguably the best third line center in the league and the pens are looking to win now. He would add to their 5v5 scoring which has been tertrible and help the Pens get out of the funk the have been in.
As for the leafs, Sheahan is a good thirdline center who can skate and is great in the faceoff circle. He would cost less than Bozak and they could build a third line around him for the future. as he has a lot of potential. I would be willing to give something else up with bozak as well. maybe a later draft pick.

Look at the standings #howlingstone Leafs are the better Team not Pittsburgh.

The leafs are ahead in the standings. However, they are much younger and looking to be a contender long term. The Pens are reaching the end of their window with thier aging core and need help now. I fail to see how this isn't a win for both teams.

I also see Sheahan becoming a better player than Bozak is now. If Leafs take a chance on him and sign him long term at a reduced price they could have an impact player for years to come with a reasonable cap hit. If anything I see the Leafs as winners in this trade.

Leafs won’t trade bozak straight up for a downgrade at the same position. Makes no sense. Only way they consider this is if they have another deal for an upgrade on defense and desperately need the cap space between bozak and Sheehan’s money to make that happen. Leafs are trying to win now too, and having bozak as a 3rd line centre makes them very deep for a playoff run, and also gives them a capable guy to move up the lineup if Matthews or kadri get hurt. Sheehan doesn’t have that same ability in my opinion.
