Seguin + 1st for Karlsson seems more fair than throwing in klingberg.

If you were Dallas would you trade a top tier centerman and a first which will be a mid round pick. I know Karlson has a lot of value but I don’t think that Dallas has enough quality depth at center to justify trading their best forward away. Seems like a sideways move for Dallas. There’s also nobhusrentee that Karlson will resign with them.

Karlsson has the value to command all of this and then some he is top 3 player in the world. I'd change pageau too though as he's one of the main proven playoff performers ottawa has.

Thats the opposite... they got more centers on the team that wingers. Spezza, faksa, Hanzal, Janmark, Pitlick, Shore, Smith

I think he meant ‘quality centres’. No one on that list has a chance to replace seguin. Spezzas the only guy that ever had seguin type upside and it’s long gone now. Dallas might get the best player in that trade but come out worse. They have Klingberg, Lindell, johns ans honka to move to puck if they don’t do this deal, but have no one to take seguins spot if they do this deal. Then they join 10 other teams looking for a #1 centre again.
